Trivia

• Season 9 Episode 16: Everybody Loves Raymond: ...

• The taping of the final episode was first delayed when Patricia Heaton caught laryngitis. Then, as fate would have it, Doris Roberts lost her voice when the cast came back two days later to try again. Six days after that, on a Saturday night, everyone was finally healthy and ready to go.

• Season 9 Episode 15: Pat's Secret

• In the scene where Ray, Debra, and Pat are in Debra's kitchen, Pat's purse keeps switching back and forth from her left and right shoulders.

• Season 9 Episode 13: Sister-In-Law

• We see Amy eating cookie dough straight without making the cookies. She mentioned that she often does this in her first appearance on the show, in season one's episode "Who's Handsome?"

• At the end when Ray and Amy are sitting on the couch talking and Robert and Debra get mad Robert storms out and when he goes outside he can see that its light outside but then Debra gets up and says she's been sitting there all night, too.

• Season 9 Episode 12: Tasteless Frank

• Frank is saying the he is able to fake taste and Marie won't find out. If Frank couldn't taste Marie's lasagna earlier and he let her know that, why was he thinking of faking the taste when she was serving her brunch.

• Season 9 Episode 6: Boys' Therapy

• The cone of silence was a running gag on the spy spoof Get Smart It was a big plastic cone that the characters would use to have a private conversation, but it would never work correctly, constantly falling over or blowing up.

• Season 9 Episode 5: Ally's F

• The math on the board is incorrect. It says "c=2r" which is not correct because that formula is how you find the diameter. If the teacher were to find the formula for circumference, he would write c=2πr.

• In the classroom scene with Ray, Debra and Ally's teacher, we can tell by the Crucifixes on the wall that the kids go to private school, yet they never wore uniforms, which is unusual for private schools.

• Season 9 Episode 4: P.T. & A

• This is the second time Debra wore that dress. The first was in The Bird.

• Season 9 Episode 3: Angry Sex

• Watch carefully in the scene where Debra comes into the bedroom angry after having a fight with Marie. She slams the door and gets into bed in a huff, and then she starts slapping her hand cream onto her body. She does it so forcefully that the body cream splatters onto the wall behind her, and it stays there for the rest of the scene, because they shot the whole thing in one take. It's funny to watch the cream go flying onto the wall.

• Season 9 Episode 1: The Home

• In this episode, Robert throws Amy on top of the refrigerator. The actual refrigerator in the scene was lowered 2 inches because actor Brad Garrett (Robert) had a bad back, and also, Monica Horan (Amy) was allegedly heavy to lift.

• Reality is suspended as Ray, Debra, Robert, and Amy are in the kitchen, loudly celebrating Frank and Marie's decision to move away. Given that they were all screaming, jumping, hugging and getting excited, it's almost impossible that Frank and Marie--who were right in the next room--didn't hear them.

• Season 8 Episode 19: The Nice Talk

• In this episode, we first see the hammock Robert bought for Marie in The Christmas Picture.

• If they knew that Pat talked intimately to everyone, why did Peter and Hank get so upset?

• Again, Ray says that Debra used to read his column a lot when they were dating, but Ray's first column is where he proposes to Debra. She must've meant while they were engaged and still dating.

• Season 8 Episode 18: Crazy Chin

• In "Robert's Divorce", during a flashback to one of Joanne's control-freak moments while she and Robert were still married, she used the exact phrase "crazy chin" when Robert touched a piece of popcorn to his chin before putting it in his mouth. In "Raybert", Natasha, Robert's girlfriend at the time, also acknowledged Robert's habit, but called it "the chin thing."

• Amy says that Robert screams at pickles, even though in several other episodes Robert eats pickles.

• Season 8 Episode 17: The Ingrate

• When Ray, Debra, Marie, Frank, Amy and Robert come into the house after returning from the graduation, the Barone kids aren't with them and there is no sign that a babysitter was with them. But we know the kids are at home because a few minutes later, Debra says she's going to go check on them. Who stayed with the kids during the ceremony?

• Season 8 Episode 15: Party Dress

• Robert says that Ray could think about Molly's party as her Bat-Mitzva. However, a Bat-Mitzva, unlike a Bar-Mitzva, is held at age 12, not 13.

• Season 8 Episode 14: Lateness

• Notice the kids in the scene where Debra runs downstairs to have Amy help her get the curling iron untangled from her hair. The kids are all hunched up close to the front of the TV, and a split second before the camera cuts to a different angle, we see Ally jump back and scream, but we don't hear anything. The next couple of shots are very choppy and were obviously put together after being filmed at different times.
