When J.T., Alec, and Diane come to the realization that the Neo sapiens have released the barges full of exiles to allow them to plunge into the sun, Diane begins to cry. It may be that she realizes that this was the fate her "exiled" husband and child met, and compounding the tragedy is the fact that she had been betraying the resistance for their sake.
