Expedition Safari is a series that focuses on big game hunting and outdoor adventure. The Outdoor Channel, a network available on a number of cable affiliates, carries the show. Safari Club International is a co-producer of Expedition Safari, and while the program centers decidedly on a hunting theme, it emphasizes natural conservation and a goal of preserving hunting areas and game habitats. Their hope is that sportsmen and women will be able to enjoy safari hunts for generations to come. Expedition Safari's host is Mike Rogers, whom his network bills as a disabled vet who went through a mental epiphany. This happened during the challenge he met filming one episode for the series in New Zealand. So far, the team has been on safari to more than three continents, including Africa, North America, and Oceania. During the show's first season in 2010, Mike presented a black rhino hunt from South Africa and a white-tailed deer excursion to Pennsylvania.
