When Hurricane Katrina hit the US Gulf Coast, many houses were swept away or destroyed. One house that weathered the storm was built by the ABC reality show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. The house, just 10 miles from the devastated city of New Orleans, sustained major flood damage but was still standing. Now, the show will return to the home and perform some much-needed repairs, ABC News reported Wednesday.
In an episode that aired in April, 2005, the Extreme team made over the home of a widow and her three surviving children after her husband and oldest son were killed in a car accident. The home included a backyard playground built with help from freestyle bike champ Mat "The Condor" Hoffman.

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, the feel-good reality series that remodels homes for families in need, made a special trip Tuesday to Biloxi, Mississippi--and brought first lady Laura Bush along for the ride, the Associated Press reported today.
The Extreme Makeover crew, who built one of the lucky houses to survive Hurricane Katrina's wrath , headed back to the devastated region last week to make some much-needed repairs on the building. While in the neighborhood, they decided to stick around and help with the distribution of food and supplies to those displaced by the powerful storm.

The Colts-Patriots game on CBS took the night, with 57 million people tuning in to the final half hour, according to Nielsen. Overall, the game scored an impressive 17.6 rating among adults 18-49.
With 46.7 million average viewers, the game was the most-watched American Football Conference championship game in 21 years, just shy of the 47.5 million who tuned in to the New England Patriots-Miami Dolphins game on NBC in 1986.
The high numbers set the stage for explosive ratings for Super Bowl XLI on February 4. Last year's Super Bowl averaged 141 million viewers.
