Ty takes his team down to Tallahassee, Florida where they are going to help George who is battling with brain cancer. His family have looked after many children with special needs and now he wants to provide his own family with a stable home.
George Kadzis goes into the hospital the night before the design team arrives. He is losing his battle with brain cancer and his dying wish is that the extreme team rebuild his house to accommodate his wife, one biological son, five adopted daughters and one adopted son, who all came from China and many of whom have special needs. Melody, the blind daughter, has a hard time getting around in the house, which is not well designed for someone with impaired vision. The extreme team builds a fantastic home for the Kadzis family that is well suited to their special needs. Stevie Wonder also makes a guest appearance. Three days after the house is built, George Kadzis loses his battle with cancer.moreless
This was the first time that I have ever watched your show. What an unbelievably beautiful and moving story, especially for Easter. The Kadzis are an amazing and courageous family. Having lived through that particular cancer with a family member of my own, I know how right where Mom was in her heart. It's a devestatingly emotional time. Your team did a fabulous job with them and managed to maintain great family dignity and personal dignity for George. We were not only impressed with the creativity, quality and completion of the home, but we were very touched by the teams personal involvement with the family, the community and the lives that they are touching. We have three adopted children and they were ALL very touched and impressed. What a valuable lesson for them on Easter!! Our prayers are with Kadzis family AND the Extreme Home Makeover team daily. What fabulous people you are. God Bless you all...........family and team. New Fans in Spokane, Wa.moreless
