Out of the current episodes of Season Five, The Luther Family are definitely the most deserving recipients of everything that Extreme Makeover HE has to offer. The unassuming mother and the remarkably mature, yet very natural 14 year old son both make this episode into one of the best I have ever seen.

The house in and of itself is far and away the most beautiful house I have seen EMHE create. I say create, rather than build because I personally feel that it is truly a work of art. The amazing ceilings (I won't go into detail so as not to spoil the show for those that haven't seen it) definitely make the house and yet they are not the most amazing features.

I am glad to see Ed back in this episode because he is easily my favourite designer though I must admit that the new guy (I didn't catch his name, sorry) is definitely coming up a close second at the moment. His room in this episode was for the son and he easily scored a "hit" in making this room the absolutely perfect room for the lad. Granted, not my tastes, but then he wasn't designing it for me and clearly the room ticked every box and then some for the young head of the Luther Family.

The sheer level of work and detail in this episode clearly mark it out amongst it's peers and I sincerely hope that EMHE can keep up this level of broadcast. It was the perfect blend of "Deserving Family", "Amazing Build" and the exhilarating fun that comes from Ty Pennington when he knows that the family he has are truly deserving.

Definitely worth a watch or three. If I could rate this higher, I would. It says a lot that this is the first time I have EVER felt compelled to review a TV show.moreless
