Great job by all involved, Ty you rock. I really believe that Kristina will walk again. I became a T-12 para in 1984 while serving in the U.S. Navy. I was told that I would never walk again, in August 2000 I walked away from the wheelchair. I loved what you did for Kristina and her family, allowing her to remain independent in her home, the whole home track is great, and the beach chair is way cool. Loved the bath area with the roll in shower and also the tub enclosure with the door. The cream in the coffee was the back deck with the spa, this will greatly help Kristina with the circulation in her lower extremities. Great Job.moreless
  • Some people still care about others.

This is why I love this show.. This episode was as good as the little girl who had cancer, who wanted to help all those children, not thinking about herself. They helped her friends at the Hospital in decorating for the cancer kids, and then also suprized her family with a new home as well. What tear jerkers.. but I love seeing the good in others, and now days, it is hard to find hearts that truely care about others.moreless
  • One of the best episodes I've seen.

Wow, what can I say about this episode of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition"? What comes to my mind right off the bat is how Kristina Ripatti is a hero. The city of Los Angeles is lucky to have her, her husband Tim, and her partner protecting them.

With that said, when the family's application video was being played, my heart was breaking at hearing and seeing how the active young mother’s life was pretty much ripped from her on the night she got shot in the line of duty, mainly because of how she would not be able to live her life the way she did before her injury. I think it’s great the way Ty and the other designers worked their magic on making the Ripatti-Pearce wheelchair accessible for Kristina so she can get some of her independence back.

Another thing that I liked about this episode came at the beginning with the demolition. I thought it was great the way the LAPD came in to help out with that.

By the end of the episode, it was great to see how the house turned out and the way the family reacted to it seeing it all. I really hope they enjoy living in their new home.moreless
  • Once of the best episodes of the season!

I really love this show a lot and this though was one of the best shows that I have ever seen. With a paralyzed new mom that also was a cop as well as her husband. As the LAPD came and help them build a house for her in order to help her out as she is paralyzed but showed her never give up attitude.
