The Voisine family lost everything in a flood 18 months before the show and were struggling to remain in the community they loved.

The Voisine family had lost everything in a flood 18 months ago. They were no more needy than many other families in the area but they were a very special family. Throughout the show I was continually impressed by the father, Rey, and his attitude to his family and his community. What an incredibly special man. He was battling to provide his family with a home and everything they needed but he never thought of himself as something extraordinary. His first thoughts, after his wife and children, were of the community around them. He constantly acknowledged there were others as deserving, if not more so than they were. When they walked into their new home for the first time, his thoughts weren't 'this is great, we'll enjoy this'. They were 'so many people must really care about us to do this much just for us'. He wasn't just grateful, he was humble, and his attitude humbling for me. This sort of selflessness is very rare. I congratulate Mr Voisine. He is exactly the kind of person this world needs and he deserves every good thing that has happened to him.moreless

Team comes to build a home for flooded family!

Ty and the team come and build a home for a family with boys. Who's home was destroyed by a flood. As the family really needed a new home badly in a very worst way. As floods can really hurt a home. The family gets a nice, new home. The boys love their rooms. As they were jumping up and down. But also the backyard of their house, which was Ty's secret project. Really looks nice with all of the swings and the toys. Again, great work by the team and that the boys and their parents are doing their best. To get back on their feet after having their home demolished and there comes a new home.moreless
