Eye of The Storm is a 1970 TV documentary directed by William Peters.
The documentary was originally produced for ABC news and focuses on a
controversial experiment about racism that was conducted by an
elementary school teacher, Jane Elliott, in Riceville, Iowa. Elliott
wanted to teach her entirely white class of 8 year olds about racism and
drew inspiration from the 1961 Leon Uris novel Mila 18. Rice received
great criticism for her experiment, which took place shortly after
Martin Luther King, Jr. died in 1968.
