      • O'Rourke says it took him ten years to make sergeant. Edit
      • It took Agarn six years to make corporal. Edit
      • This is a similar story to episode 9, "Me Heap Big Injun," where Corporal Agarn leaves the army for the Hekawi tribe and loves it too much to return. Edit

      • Captain Parmenter: I went out to meet you, sir, and I got lost. General Courage: Well I don't understand how an officer can get lost. A whole troop maybe, but not an officer. Edit
      • (Agarn ang O'Rourke tell the general he will be in trouble if anyone finds out he promoted an indian) O'Rourke: Exposing us would mean exposing yourself, which would be a shame after such a long and glorious career. Agarn: They might even change the name of Fort Courage. General Courage:(weakly) No,no. Wild Eagle: How you like Fort Wild Eagle? General Courage:(screaming) NO! Edit
      • Agarn:(about Wild Eagle) Now he's Lt. Howe. O'Rourke: I told you to watch him! Agarn: I watched. I watched the whole thing. O'Rourke: What happened? Agarn: They fired the cannon to honor the general. O'Rourke: Don't tell me. The tower fell. Agarn: It would have fallen right on the general, only Wild Eagle pushed him away. O'Rourke: And then the general commissioned him. Agarn: Wouldn't you? Edit
    • Allusions

      ADD ALLUSIONS
      • Wild Eagle: Better red man than dead man. A reversal on the popular anti-Communist slogan "better dead than red" used in the 1950s, particularly during the McCarthy era when suspected Communist sympathizers were blacklisted. Edit
      • Agarn: (excusing Wild Eagle's long hair) Well, he's a musician, sir. He plays the drums. With the rise of the "hippie" movement n the late 1960s, many rock and roll musicians broke with pop music tradition by having long hair, including the Beatles. Previously, the term "longhair" had been used to refer specifically to classical musicians, rather than popular. Edit
      • The episode title is a take-off on "Our Man in ---", a phrase used to describe a lone spy in a foreign country, first used by Graham Greene in his 1958 novel "Our Man in Havana". Edit
