Capt.Parmenter approaches O'Rourke and Agarn. He says Major Duncan is worried that the Hekawis are planning an uprising, and tells them to spy on them. After he leaves, O'Rourke and Agarn laugh at the idea of the Hekawis attacking.
At the Hekawi camp, an indian inspector tells Chief Wild Eagle that they are too peaceful and has to attack and defeat somebody by Saturday or they will get kicked out of the indian nation. Wild Eagle tells Crazy Cat that they will attack their old enemies, the Shugs.
O'Rourke and Agarn find the Hekawi camp getting ready for war. After Wild Eagle tells them they have to win a battle, they decide to help them prepare, knowing their business will be ruined if the Hekawis lose. But the Hekawi fail every time they try out weapons. Later that night, Wild Eagle says they should attack Fort Courage. While O'Rourke and Agarn say they would wipe them out, Wlid Eagle says they can fix the fight so they can win. O'Rourke says he'll do what he can to fix the fight.
The next day, O'Rourke and Agarn bring Capt.Parmenter a treaty with the Hekawis that include a no-massacure clause. They persuade the Captain to take half the troop along when he goes present the treaty to regimental headquarters. When they leave, O'Rourke and Agarn get everyone else inside to work. Wild Eagle shows up with the rest of the Hekawis and get in by sawing the board that locks the gate. They enter the room where everyone is working and claim victory.
The next day, the inspector comes and is astounded that the Hekawis 'captured' Fort Courage, even telling Wild Eagle he's better than Geronimo. He says the Hekawis should burn the fort down, but runs away shortly after he hears the rest of F Troop is coming back. While O'Rourke and Agarn are rushing the Hekawis out and etting everything back together, Capt.Parmenter finds out the Hekawis took the fort and orders his men to use a log as a battering ram. But when they reach the gate, O'Rourke opens the gate and everyone crashes into the flag pole.
