Face Time

Show Summary

Face Time is a television talk show hosted by Kurt Andersen. In the show, originally aired on Trio in 2002, Andersen interviews well-known names from the world of show business. Celebrity interviewees have included Peter Bart, journalist, film producer and Editor-in-Chief of Daily Variety, the show business newspaper (from 1989-2009). Film director, producer and screenwriter William Friedkin also appeared on the show. Friedkin is best-known for directing The French Connection in 1971, for which he received the Academy Award Best Director. Other interviewees include actress Bonnie Hunt, also known as a writer, comedian, director, TV producer and daytime television host. Some of Andersen's interviewees have included the film producer and executive Peter Gruber, who produced or executive produced, films such as Batman, The Color Purple, The Witches of Eastwick, Flashdance and many others. Dennis Miller, Leslie Moonves, Darren Star, creator of Sex in the City, Robert Smigel, who established his career as a writer on Saturday Night Live, and the late Bernie Mac have all undergone the Andersen treatment.
