Fairly Legal Season 2 Episode 13

It was not an incredible finale, but it did wrap up some things and leave us wondering what will happen next with Kate and Ben. I don't like the sitcom-ish premise of them being neighbors, but we'll see where things go from here. The case was pretty weak granted this was a season finale. There's been much better episodes in 2012.

I will say, I was for the Justin and Kate relationship all the way through the first season and up until about 4 episodes into season 2, but then Ben Grogan got under Kate's skin (and mine) and since then I haven't been able to root for Justin to win Kate's heart. Despite Justin telling Kate that she was running away from "them" when she broke up with him in his apartment, it took courage. Because she wasn't running, she was clear headed about it. That is why the gift he got for her worked out anyway.

Lauren is in all kinds of trouble with this rich guy of hers, Robin Archer. She thought he was this wonderful man and then found out that he had a few secrets. He pleaded with her to not fault him for being imperfect, but she broke things off with him anyway. Um, a week passes and she sees him again. Then the FBI comes to her because he is under investigation: pretty much hard proof that he is sleazy, and she runs straight into his arms? What? That just makes her look like an idiot!

So Kate had this idea for her perfect apartment... Ben offered to help her and Justin find one, but she declined. Then, when Justin shows her an apartment that is completely and utterly what she had dreamed of, she finds out that Ben told him about it. When she decides to take the apartment by herself, she is surprised to see Ben is her neighbor, literally right next door. I thought that was a sweet touch, throwing in there how similar tastes they have. I also loved when Ben saw the heart-shaped rock on Kate's desk.

If USA doesn't bring this show back for a third season, I will cry. I have to know what happens: between Ben and Kate, between Lauren and Archer and let us not forget that the DA dropped out of the race for the next DA. That means that Justin has it in the bag...moreless
