For many years, Falcon Crest kept the audience watching with many complex storylines, fantastic acting, wonderful guest stars and great exterior shooting. However, only one major character worked well against Jane Wyman's Angela in the tussle over vineyards - and that was Ana-Alicia's Melissa. Their battles were interesting and funny to watch. And in recent episodes, Melissa finally got control of the Falcon Crest Vineyards - this storyline had the potential to impact many characters' lives. However, the whole story got nipped in the bud with Melissa suddenly dying!!! This was a disaster for the show -and the ratings would never recover.moreless
