According to the National Enquirer, Jane Wyman (Angela) had been hospitalized for the third time in a row with complications of diabetes and liver ailment, after years of working on the set. Even that she completed appearing in almost every episode in Season 8, she was hospitalized late that February, when Season 9 (which was going to be their last), had already begun production, and after appearing in 2 episodes, Wyman's character would fall into a coma, which would require her to be written out for almost the entire season. Against her doctor's, she will comeback to the show.
