  • Part 1 of the 2-hour "Falling Skies" season finale

Well... there was absolutely no action in this episode except when Jimmy helped Tom escape from the cage and tied up that guy who is watching Tom. The escape scene was very good and well executed. I didn't like how Captain Weaver banned Tom from doing any alien stuff and put him in the cage. This episode was interesting but I didn't like how Captain Weaver was acting. He was even almost gonna shoot Tom... I just Captain Weaver was out of character in this episode. Even there was no action in Part 1 of this 2-hour season finale, it was still interesting and that escape scene was interesting enough for me to enjoy this episode. We also get some good drama in this show. I guess "Falling Skies" is more of a drama than a sci-fi action show. I don't mind drama and I know this show is about the survival of alien attacks but they could add the action to it. Tom and the others talking some sense into Captain Weaver 12 minutes before Part 1 ended was very interesting and well executed. Overall, the escape scene was probably like the only action scene in Part 1 but this episode was well executed and very interesting. 10/10moreless

Mutiny was a superb episode of Falling Skies and I really enjoyed watching this episode because there was a lot of character development for Weaver and Tom. This situation seemed like a viable circumstance for people to be in during times like these. It was also very interesting to see Ben help with the radio signals and what he and Rick talked about. I really like Pope and think Colin Cunningham does a perfect job portraying him. It is also so cool to see him in this type of role, so different from Stargate SG-1. Weaver's speech near the end was touching and definitely stirred emotion in the people and perhaps viewers as well. Even with out a lot of action or Aliens in this episode it was outstanding as a human case study. I look forward to watching the next episode of Falling Skies!!!!!!!moreless
  • Episode 9: Mutiny

    4.0
Well that was horrible. Before the final conflict with the aliens, you of course must have the fight among the ranks. This time Tom confronts Weaver, Weaver throws him into the holding cell, he escapes, some inspirational speeches happen and we get bunch of other boring stuff.

I was starting to think that Falling Skies might become at least very watchable series after the last few episodes, but this one was certainly the worst so far. Not only did it completely fail to build up any tension for the next episode, but the story was so clichéd you could see every "twist" coming minutes before it actually happened.

Thankfully there's only one episode left.moreless
