Episode 22
AIRED:
Tuesday morning, and the students are still having trouble getting up in time for Kevin's class. When some of the Fame Academy students sleep in, Kevin isn't very happy, and uses the PA system to call them to his lesson. Katie still isn't in much of a hurry, however, and he shouts her downstairs. Surprisingly, when she finally arrives, he's calm with her, saying that it's "Katie Lewis" day. Either Malachi or Ainslie will be singing for survival on Friday, and Jeremy asks them whether it will affect their friendship. They both dismiss this - saying that they want to do well, but will support each other all the same. The students are still working on their songs about a fellow student, and Sinead getting help from Pam with her's. It's about Katie - and her sheer determination after being put on probation six times in a row. Pam says that she admires the way that Katie has bounced back after every week. Meanwhile, Katie is having trouble with her own song, which is about Marli. She confesses that she "doesn't really know what it's about" to Kevin! David is singing for survival this week, and for once, he's happy with his song. It's definitely not a boy band song! And in Katie's session with Carrie, she gets a pleasant surprise - Carrie was working with Melanie C earlier on in the week, and the former Spice Girl admitted that she voted for Katie! At the dinner table, Kevin tries to get the students to admit that they want to win the big prize at the end of the show. The students are initially dismissive, but Kevin finally gets them to confess that they want the prize. As night falls, the students finally get to perform their "secret" songs. Ainslie sings his one about Sinead - and how she's so beautiful, but doesn't know it. She's flattered. The next day, Kevin tries to get Sinead ready for Friday night's show. He tells her that she needs to persuade the public to vote for her to win on the final night. The teachers must finally decide between Ainslie and Malachi for the final probation place. Pam says that Malachi has a future, but Carrie argues that a record company would be most likely to take Ainslie. Kevin says that they can no longer forgive Ainslie for singing out of tune on the Friday night live showdowns - but Carrie says that it's his style of music, and that Sinead has been forgiven for doing the same in the past. The teachers gather the students in the dance studio to hear the news. Ainslie will be on probation this week. He's down about it, but he'll cope. Malachi is surprised by the news; he thought that his name would be read out. Ainslie asks probation expert Katie whether she feels like all of her efforts have been in vain when she's put on probation. Lemar has a sore throat - and his Mum rings up to give him some advice. The day ends with a shock - personal tutor Jeremy admits that he snogged Marli at a club a few nights back! The students find this very amusing, but give him their support.moreless
