Familiar Bonds is a made for TV film that was aired on MTV in 1996. It was directed by Leslie Libman as one of the six short films in her "Out of Order" original movie series. This film is also part of MTV's campaign for health awareness among young adults. It tackles the issue of physical and psychological abuse and the difficulties of trying to renew one's self against all odds. It stars Shawnee Smith and Jeremy Sisto.
