Best-known to television fans for her role as Rhoda's mother Ida on both The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Rhoda and as the housekeeper Mildred on McMillan and Wife, Walker also starred in two shows that failed to attract audiences - the series The Nancy Walker Show and the sitcom Blansky's Beauties. Aside from numerous television guest appearances and a long-running stint as "Rosie" in "Bounty Paper Towels" ads, Nancy Walker had a long career on the New York stage during her younger years.     Height 5' 2" (1.57 m) Mini biography Heather Grace Angel was born in Oxford, England, on February 9, 1909. She dabbled on the stage for a time before coming to California to try her luck on the screen. Heather was 20 years old when she landed a bit part for the 1929 film, BULLDOG DRUMMOND. Although she didn't know it at the time, she would become a staple of that particular series eight years hence. That movie would be her only foray onto celluloid for two year. When Heather did return, she did so in 1931's NIGHT IN MONTMARTE. Not only did she land a part, but it was the leading role in the picture, starring as Annette Lefevre. Later that year she again landed the leading role in the acclaimed THE HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES. Throughout the 1930's, Heather's services were in high demand. She kept very busy in such productions as MEN OF STEEL (1932), CHARLIE CHAN'S GREATEST CASE (1933), ORIENT EXPRESS (1934), and DANIEL BOONE (1936). In 1937, she began playing Phyllis Clavering in the serial about Bulldog Drummond. Audiences delighted in catching the latest adventures of Drummond. After the last Drummond film, ARREST BULLDOG DRUMMOND in 1939, Heather went on her way in other films. Although she didn't have the leading role, she did appear in top movies such as 1940's KITTY FOYLE and PRIDE AND PREJUDICE and in 1943's CRY HAVOC. After LIFEBOAT in 1944, Heather wasn't seen again on the silver screen until THE SAXON CHARM in 1948. As with other actresses, Heather's time had come and gone. Her last appearance anywhere was in 1979's television mini-series, BACKSTAIRS AT THE WHITE HOUSE when she played Harry Truman's mother-in-law. On December 13, 1986, Heather died in Santa Barbara, California of cancer. She was 77 years old.moreless

    Jamie grew up in the town of Toledo, Ohio. His parents, Samuel and Jamelia Farah, had little, with Samuel working as a grocer and Jamelia being a seamstress. After performing in a local acting contest, he decided to pursue an acting career. While attending Woodward High School, Farr starred in several school productions. After high school, Jamie went to Pasadena Playhouse in California. In 1955 he got his break when he was in Blackboard Jungle, following it up with No Time for Sergeants. Shortly after this he joined The Red Skelton's Show. This part of career ended when he was drafted into the military. While in the military, he served in several different countries, including both Korea and Japan. When he was released from the military, Farr continued to pursue his acting career. Several years after retiring from the army, Farr married Joy Ann Richards on February 16, 1963. Nearly ten years later, Farr's acting career skyrocketed as he began performing as Corporal Maxwell Klinger on M*A*S*H. Since then, Farr and Joy Ann have had two children, Jonas and Yvonne Farr, and Jamie has even wrote a book on his experiences on M*A*S*H, entitled Just Farr Fun. Farr has now retired from show business, and he now hold's a woman's golf tournament once every year. Because of his contributions to Hollywood, Farr received his very own "star" on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1985, several years after the season finale of M*A*S*H.
