Eileen's got a guilty conscience, but Pete doesn't understand what's wrong with her. Eileen can't bare to watch as Roy is pulled from the fire. Pete assumes that she was worried about him. Later, Eileen calls Mike and asks if they can meet - something's gone horribly wrong. Roy suffered severe burns. He was rushed to the hospital. Nikki insisted on going in the ambulance with him, despite being in a pretty bad way herself. Sadie went round to Sean and Tanya's to ask Sean to give her, Darren and Becky a lift to the hospital. Tanya says he can't because he's drunk. Sadie decides to get a cab. Sean agrees to come along to make sure everything's OK. Later, at the hospital, the doctor's prep Roy for surgery while Nikki wants to see her husband. As Roy goes into the operation theatre, they allow Nikki to see him. He is unconscious, she tells him to hang in there and think of their new life in the country. When Roy comes out of surgery, his condition is described as stable but as Nikki speaks to him at his bedside his life-support machine stops registering a heartbeat . . . Benji's worried that Kelly will go ahead with an abortion. He tried to persuade her not to but she tells him that she doesn't want to be a young mum, she hasn't lived enough yet. The morning after the fire, Benji tells Yasmin that he spent most of the night wandering around. They decide not to open the shop. Lewis felt bad after what he'd said to Mel earlier in the evening. He apologises and walks her home. When Sean leaves to go to the hospital with Sadie, he left Tanya and Nick alone. She was hit hard after the evening's events, he comforts her. He tells her how great it must be having a best friend of the opposite sex, like Tanya has Sean. They get closer on the sofa and kiss. Next morning, Sean returns from the hospital and goes into Tanya's room to let her know he's home. Nick and Tanya are in bed together, asleep in each others arms. Meanwhile, Nikki, Darren, Becky and Sadie are woken up by Dr. Russell. He tells them that Roy is in a stable condition but he's still on an assisted breathing machine. Nikki's worried whether his burns are dangerous. The doctor tells her that he's not really that worried about his burns, although Roy is in a critical condition. He breathed in a lot of smoke during the fire. This caused a lack of blood to the brain leaving Roy with possible brain damage . . .moreless
