Episode Recap

John sits down and has a quiet word with Babs over breakfast. He tells her that he's worried Tanya might have feelings for Conrad. Even though she secretly agrees, Babs reassures John that he's got nothing to worry about. John heads off to work, during his shift he and Nikki agree to meet up for drinks later, they ask Tanya too who agrees to go along . . . Later, Babs corners Tanya in the shop and tells her about her conversation with John. Tanya denies that she has any feelings for Conrad and decides to tell John the same thing. She tells him that she offered Conrad a ^professional^ shoulder to cry on while Ben was in the hospital - failing to mention the kiss they shared . . . When the trio gather for drinks in the Swan a little later on they bump into Conrad. John pulls him to one side and tells him that Tanya has told him about what happened at the hospital and just wanted to clear up that Tanya had no feeling for him. Conrad says that he knows and besides he's otherwise engaged (gesturing to Nikki).

Yasmin is downright irritated to learn that Sami has bought in a range of beauty products for the shop, which rival that of her salons! Not only that but also there's a special on them . . . Yasmin decides she needs a drink . . .

Its Cat's birthday and Doug has very thoughtfully bought her a cookery book, but Cat's convinced that there's more to his gift than that and seems to think that the cook book might be a clue - has Doug gone and booked a dinner for two at Jamie Oliver's restaurant? No. He does spend the day trying to get a table but fails, eventually he gives in and decides to tell Cat the truth but as he's about to do so she asks him if they can put it off since she's not really in the mood to celebrate after hearing some sad news about Les and Denise from Justin . . .

Kelly is convinced that her mum shouldn't be moving out and tries to persuade Les to persuade Denise to stay. When that fails, Kelly tries herself to get Denise to stay but to no effect. Denise has made up her mind. Later, she has a chat with Les. He accuses her of never having been in love with him. She tells him she does love him . . . She still goes. Justin, Kelly, Suzie and Les wave her off.

Chloe worries about how long there's going to be a stranger staying in their house. Gary assures her that Jane will be gone by the time she gets home from school. Later, Jane gets up late, as the Costello's have lunch in fact. No sooner is she out of bed when Gary tells her that they've called the police to come and talk to her. Jane doesn't like the sound of that but Chrissy reassures her that Will is a good guy and only wants to help them find Mel. Will soon shows up and Jane agrees to speak with him. She recounts the story she's already told Gary and Chrissy. Will thanks her and gives her his card in case she thinks of anything else. The house soon filters out leaving Gary and Jane alone. He decides to test her . . . He asks Jane whether or not Mel talked about her friend Katie. Jane says she remembers something like that. Gary goes on to say that Katie has been missing Mel terribly and that she was really hurt when he told her that Jane had said she felt let down by all her friends. Jane goes along with it and tells Gary that she's pretty sure that Katie would not have been included in that. Gary asks Jane what she's really up to. Jane's confused. Gary tells her that Katie and Mel hated each other. Jane starts to pack. She tells Gary that she's sorry she got Mel's friends names mixed up. Gary accuses her of being a fraud and a liar. But then, Jane says some things that ring true. All about Graham and all about Bradley's abuse of Chloe. Gary's convinced that Myra or Chrissy must have filled her in but Jane tells him that it was all Mel. Gary becomes infuriated when Jane says it's no wonder Mel left with a father like him! He raises his fist to her just as Chrissy walks in the front door. Gary holds back. Jane tells Chrissy that Mel wasn't to lucky. Chrissy is confused and Jane asks her if she didn't know Gary threatened to hit Mel? Gary becomes even more infuriated and takes hold of Jane, physically throwing her out the door!
