Show Summary

Family Business (UK) is a television series, broadcasted on BBC One in February, 2004. The show is written by the award-winning writer, Tony Grounds, and the series takes a look at the intricacies of suburban life. Marky (Jamie Foreman) has established a family business of building and renovation, named as the Brooker & Son. He is very passionate about creating a perfect family life. Three generations of the Brookers family stay under one roof. Although there is intimacy and banter between all the members of the Brookers family, yet there are cracks under the smooth exterior. Marky is doing great in his profession, and is also good in advising other people, but when it comes to his family, he is unable to offer undivided attention. His family life is in a mess, with his son, James (Michael Tucek), disappearing off after his first term at Oxford, and his daughter, Lauren (Abbie Nichols), is going through identity crisis. The show was later canceled in March, 2004.
