James Woods was ridiculous in this one, so was Joe, but the "ooh piece of candy" gag was back and it made me laugh

It was OK. Basically James Woods steals Peter's identity. He does not know what to do, until Brian tells him to in turn steal James Woods' identity. He does and goes on a talk show and makes some really obscene comments, such as working on a new movie about 9/11. James wants to fight Peter now. But instead, he and Brian trap James, possibly forever.

It was OK, I didn't laugh a whole lot or anything, in fact there was only one joke that even came close to making me laugh. But it was alright, overall grade would be a C, averagemoreless

James Woods gets his revenge on Peter after he finds his wallet at a Barry Manilow concert. He steals Peter's identity and family, so Peter decides to tarnish James Woods' image by ruining his career under his identity.

Not a bad episode. I bought the Family Guy Volume Seven DVD yesterday and this is the first episode that I watched. I'm very mad that they don't just release the DVDs as seasons. Anyway, I liked it. It was a sequel to Peter's Got Woods. It was a nice follow-up, and I liked Peter pretending to be James Woods. I liked how they finally got rid of him in the wooden crate. Cool episode, even though James Woods can easily p*ss you off.moreless
  • It's Family Guy at its most Family Guy - est

    6.0

He's back, after being sealed in a box and forgotten about for a few seasons; James Woods is seeking revenge on Peter by stealing his identity and legally becoming Peter Griffin. The fact that this episode is a sequel to "Peter's Got Woods", the only way you can enjoy it is if you've seen the previous one. Basically it's a 20 minute in - joke and it'll make little impact without the inside knowledge. Furthurmore, this is the biggest gap between a sequel since The Wizard of Oz. In Family Guy but this episode especially, everything that isn't a joke is basically a drum roll until the punchline is delivered and in doing this they've made it totally expected and thus not "shocking" at all.

This ep also features the crudest examples of thinking just because they're mentioning something recent, it's automatically funny. The allusions aren't terrible but would've beeen a lot better if it weren't for the sloppy comedic timing, there may aswell be a laugh track. As far as aesthetics go; i give them one tick for the detailed animation and one tick for the great vocals however i deduct both ticks plus about 5 more for the most tasteless 9/11 joke ever heard, the Family Guy writers should stop picketting and just realsie that jabs at 9/11 aren't funny at all.

As the novelty of Family Guy's flashbacks and gimmicks wear off they either need to step up the quality or get off our screens.moreless

    ADD TRIVIA
    • Although Stewie killed Verne and Johnny a.k.a. The Vaudeville Guys in Saving Private Brian, and said to the camera: "Okay they're dead, alright, we're not going to be seeing them again"; The Vaudeville Guys do come back again (albeit Verne is a ghost while Johnny is in hell) in this episode.

    • It's rather odd that James Woods teaches Meg how to induce vomit, when Meg was the one who taught Chris in 'He's Too Sexy For His Fat'.

    • The ending for this episode is a replica of the previous Family Guy episode starring James Woods, "Peter's Got Woods".

  • QUOTES (12)

    ADD QUOTES
    • James Woods: You're in a lot of trouble, Griffin, you mother f***er!

    • Peter: That kung pao chicken smells good. You smell that? Brian: Right now, all I can smell is your ass.

    • Lois: Peter, someone's been using your credit card! Peter: Lois, I hear what you're saying, but like my credit card, I have a very low rate of interest.

    • Brian: Listen, I need your help, go run into and give me a pair of scissors. Stewie: No! Brian: Why not? Stewie: Because, you made me watch those two girls and a cup. (Flashbacks to the incident) Stewie: Okay, wait. What is this now? Brian: Just watch. Stewie: Why are we taping my reactions. (about the camera) Brian: Just watch. (Turns to the computer) Stewie: Okay, they're lesbians clearly. (Stewie reacts to the video, disgusted, as Brian starts to laugh)

    • Verne: You're probably wonderin' why he's in Hell. Johnny liked little boys.

    • Tom Tucker: Good evening, I'm Tom Tucker. Coming up, important traffic news that can't help you because you're some place where a TV is.

    • (Peter walks up to Brian and see's him tied up to a pole) Peter: Hey Brian, what are you doing tied up to Meg's pole?

    • Chris: Mr. Woods. How do I get a girl to like me? James Woods: Oh Chris, I'm your father, call me "dad". Chris: Um, okay, dad. How do I get a girl to like me? James Woods: Well, there's a number of ways Chris. Uh, for example, Kate Moss and I had the same coke supplier, and he threw a punch social one day, and we both happened to be there, and the next thing you know, we're both in the back room, slam bang. I went bareback, babe. Chris: Wow, she sounds like a class act. James Woods: No, not at all Chris. No, not at all.

    • James Woods: Well, well. A trespasser on my property. That's the worst thing that's happened to me since... Peter: (gasps) You wouldn't! James Woods: It's up to you Peter. Either you leave now, or I set up one of your random flashbacks.

    • Stewie: Brian, guess what? I gave James Woods your novel to read, and you're not gonna believe this! Brian: Really? Did he like it? Stewie: He wants to option it and make a movie! Brian: Really!? Stewie: No, he didn't really respond to it. Brian: Ohh.

    • James Woods: Hey, not so fast pal. Those are my clothes. Peter: Oh come on. Joe: You heard him fella, take 'em off. Right down to the poop sack. What? You don't all wear a poop sack? Damnit Bonnie! You lied to me about the poop sack!

    • Peter: What the hell? Where's my wallet? Ah crap, I must have dropped it at the Barry Manilow concert. Stewie: Dropped it at the what and where was I?

  • NOTES (1)

    ADD NOTES
    • When this episode was rebroadcast by FOX on April 13th 2008, the scene following James Woods tying Brian to Meg's pole was altered. Both versions feature Brian asking Stewie to get a pair of scissors to cut the rope. In the original, Stewie agreed to do so, but warned Brian that - as a baby - he's very easily distracted. He runs off screen and we hear him get distracted by a brightly colored dishrag. In the new version, Stewie refuses to get the scissors because Brian had previously tricked him into watching the internet video "Two Girls, one Cup" (which is then showed in a flashback).

  • ALLUSIONS (6)

    ADD ALLUSIONS
    • Stewie: (in front of a computer) Why are we taping my reaction? Stewie is referring to the trailer for a pornographic film called "Hungry Bitches" , also called "2 Girls One Cup". It's content is so graphic that many people have taped their friend's reactions while watching it and posted them on the internet.

    • James Brady Stewie: I say, this is more uncomfortable than having James Brady at a cocktail party. James Brady was a former assistant to the President and nearly killed during the assassination attempt on President Reagan.

    • E.T. James Woods picking up candies on the ground to the trap was like a scene from E.T. Similarly, it happened in the previous episode involving James Woods, "Peter's Got Woods."

    • Raider of the Lost Ark: The ending scene with the warehouse full of crates is a spoof on the ending scene of this movie.

    • Austin Powers Peter mentions that he "swallowed the midget that played Mini-Me". Mini-Me appeared in two of the Austin Powers movies, portrayed by the actor Verne Troyer.

    • G.I. Joe While watching TV, the program G.I. Jose "A Real Mexican Hero" is shown. This is an allusion to the Action Figure and Television series G.I. Joe and it's tagline "A Real American Hero".
