    9.2
Seth MacFarlane was born in the small New England town of Kent Connecticut where he lived with his father (Ron), Mother (Perry) and sister (Rachael). He attended and studied animation at the Rhode Island School of Design and after he graduated he was hired by Hanna-Barbera Productions (Now called Cartoon Network Studios) working as an animator and writer on the TV series Johnny Bravo and Cow and Chicken. He also worked for Walt Disney Animation as a writer on the TV series Jungle Cubs. He created The Life of Larry (1995), which was originally suppose to be used as an in-between on Mad-TV. Unfortunately the deal fell through but a few months later executives at FOX called him into their offices and gave him $50,000 to create a pilot for what would eventually become Family Guy (1999). On September 11, 2001 he was scheduled to return to Los Angeles on American Airlines Flight 11 after being a keynote speaker at his alma-mater in Rhode Island. Due to a mix-up by his travel agent he was told that his flight was scheduled to depart at 8:15am but it really departed at 7:45am and he had arrived at Boston Logan Airport a few minutes after boarding was stopped on his flight and he was told he would have to wait for the next flight. At 8:45am one hour after the departure of American Airlines Flight 11 it was hijacked by terrorists and crashed into One World Trade Center (North Tower) in New York City killing all onboard. He was able to contact his parents within 20 minutes of Flight 11 striking the first tower to tell them he was okay. He also said that he thanked God that his travel agent had screwed up the departure time or he would have been on board and he wouldn't have known what to do when the terrorists took over the plane. He also co-created American Dad! and executively produced The Winner.moreless

  • Seth Green

    Chris (and various)

    9.3
Seth was born to Herbert, a mathematics teacher, and Barbara, an artist in Philadelphia, PA. The couple already had a daughter, Kaela also an actress. Seth and Kaela were raised in Overbrook Park, PA. It is said that a photograph of him being born was used in an ad campaign for natural childbirth, but Seth's mother has denied this rumor. Seth attended public school and played soccer. He decided to make acting his career at age six when he took part in a workshop in his hometown and after appearing in a summer camp performance of "Hello, Dolly!" Seth actually got his start in commercials as a child including a John Denver Album, Fruit Loops, Carl's Jr., Rally's (the origination of the catchphrase "Cha-Ching!" which still follows Seth around to this day), Wendy's, Jello Pudding Pops, Kodak, Hewlett Packard Printer, California Department of Health Services on Smoking and most recently the US Sci-Fi Channel. One of his commercials was with Sarah Michelle Gellar, when she was four years old.

He went on to appear in such illustrious telly as The X-Files, The Wonder Years, Beverly Hills 90210, Evening Shade, seaQuest DSV (as Wolfman, maybe a sign of things to come?) before his extended exposure on Buffy, the Vampire Slayer as Oz.

He has appeared in many movies including: Hotel New Hampshire, Radio Days (as a young Woody Allen), My Stepmother Is An Alien (as Alyson Hannigan's boyfriend, another omen?), Pump Up The Volume (with Juliet Landau also of Buffy fame), the 1992 movie version of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (his scenes were cut), Austin Powers: International Man Of Mystery, Stonebrook, Idle Hands, Enemy Of The State, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, Can't Hardly Wait.

Interestingly, Seth had a part in the movie version of Buffy - unfortunately, his part ended up on the cutting room floor, though a still photo of him (as a vampire) is on the back of the box of the US video release.

He graduated from Lamberton High School in 1991.

Though Seth has a very large list of credits, he didn't gain notoriety until Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Austin Powers came along.

Now he has less anonymity and a lot of fans to attest to it, from two distinctly separate groups eleven to seventeen-year-old girls and drug-dealers.

While his involvement with the Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie only goes back as far as the cutting room floor of 1992 he is apparently on the cover of the US video release.

In 1997 his return to the realm of Buffy came, it was not as grand as it would become: his contract was only for three episodes in Season Two (namely 'Inca Mummy Girl', 'Halloween' and 'What's My Line, Part One') as Oz, the first person to show an interest in Willow [Alyson Hannigan], but fairly early on it became apparent to Buffy creator Joss Whedon that Seth and Alyson got on well enough to make more of Oz and so he increased Oz's relevance to the story of 'What's My Line' and put him in Part Two (taking a bullet for Willow). Whedon wanted to give the characters besides Buffy [Sarah Michelle Gellar] more of a private life and Willow's love life had really only been explored with Xander [Nicholas Brendon]. Whedon wanted the audience to hate Oz for driving Willow and Xander apart and then love him. He wrote Oz into the big two part story of season two: 'Surprise' and 'Innocence' and gave him a scene with Willow where he tells her how he feels about her and it worked, Oz fans appeared all over. Oz was officially admitted into the Scooby Gang when he saw Buffy slay a vampire at The Bronze, helped steal a rocket launcher from the army and pick up immolated parts of a dead invincible demon. Not bad for a day's work.

Joss Whedon gave a copy of the next episode's script to Seth as a way to convince him to become a regular for the next season. It worked and Oz became the werewolf in 'Phases'. In 'Bewitched, Bothered And Bewildered' he searched for Buffy after Amy [Elizabeth Anne Allen] turned her into a rat. In 'Passion' someone had to die and it was going to be Oz, but his signing up for the third season fortunately scuppered that and the unlucky honour fell to Jenny Calendar [Robia La Morte]. After his rodent recovery duties in 'Bewitched, Bothered And Bewildered' he next appeared in the both parts of the two part Season Two finale 'Becoming, Part Two'. In the latter part of that Willow is in a coma and Xander, sitting at her bedside tells her he loves her, she wakes up and the first thing she says is "Oz?".

He made Entertainment Weekly's '1998 It List,' the magazine's annual pick of the hottest stars.

Oz naturally returned in Season Three in 'Anne' with a promotion to series regular and as part of the Buffy-absent slaying. In 'Dead Man's Party' and 'Faith, Hope & Trick' he is an integral part of the Scooby Gang. The next episode 'Beauty And The Beasts' starts as an Oz feature episode, but becomes a reminder of who Angel [David Boreanaz] is. For the remainder of the season Oz fulfils two roles: Willow's boyfriend and 'boy-in-a-band'. This is primarily due to the sheer amount of screen time devoted to new slayer Faith [Eliza Dushku]. That said he is still great in every scene in which he appears, highlights include 'Band Candy', 'Lover's Walk', 'The Wish', 'Amends', 'The Zeppo', 'Dopplegangland', 'Choices' and 'Earshot'. He becomes increasing under-utilized as the season progresses until 'Graduation Day, Part One and Two' where he has some of his best scenes all year.

Having decided to leave Buffy for a further career in movies Seth handed in his noticed and agreed to appear in the beginning of Season Four. In 'The Freshman' the gang (minus Angel and Cordelia [Charisma Carpenter], who have left for LA and their' own show: Angel) relocate to UC Sunnydale. In 'Living Conditions' Oz spots Veruca [Paige Moss] on campus and is strangely attracted to her (all in a split second). 'The Harsh Light of Day' and it's Angel crossover 'In The Dark' gave Oz double duties as he took the Gem of Amarra retrieved from Spike [James Marsters] and gave it to Angel and then helped Cordelia & Doyle [Glenn Quinn] save the day. In 'Fear, Itself' the gang get to feel the worst fears coming true two of which: Oz losing control of the wolf within and Willow losing Oz would come true two episodes later. Oz is almost infatuated with Veruca all through 'Beer Bad' and discovers that she is a werewolf like him in 'Wild At Heart' and they attack Prof. Walsh [Lindsay Crouse]have sex in wolf form. Realising he has no control over his wolf side he flees Sunnydale and Willow.

When he left to make the thriller 'Knockaround Guys' (with John Malkovich and Barry Pepper) it was not known if he was going to return. It was expected that he would and in a regular role, those with expectations were half right: he did return in 'New Moon Rising' but only as a guest star. Oz claims to have found a cure for his condition and doesn't change on the night of a full moon and he and Willow seem likely to be back together until Willow tells Buffy that she and Tara [Amber Benson] are involved. Oz meets Tara and is enraged and transforms into wolf form warning her to "Run". He is caught by The Initiative and almost killed by Riley [Marc Blucas] because he mistakenly thought Oz was the demon that attacked co - soldier Graham [Bailey Chase]. When Riley realises that it is Oz he attempts to help him escape risking a court martial at the hands of Col. McNamara [Conor O'Farrell] and held in the brig. Willow, Buffy, Xander and Spike attempt to break both of them out with the help of Giles, Anya [Emma Caulfield] and albeit unwittingly Adam [George Hertzberg]. Oz suspects that it is Willow that brings out the wolf in him and leaves again, Willow professes her love to Tara.

He also appears in the season finale, 'Restless' in Willow's dream as a metaphor for her life with him being different to her life with Tara. Only time will tell whether he will return to Buffy or in fact Angel. The rumours say yes, but then they always do. Don't they?

As for the future, Seth is apparently not interested in directing, but he would like to produce, as well as keep acting. He and his best friends Breckin Meyer and Ryan Phillippe have an office where they peruse scripts, and they are aiming to produce films together.

Next on the horizon the dark comedy Scorned. The film, which is based on an idea from Seth and his childhood-friend-turned-screenwriter Hugh Sterbakov, centres on a young engaged couple whose romance takes an ugly turn when they head to college; the affair becomes a grudge match, and the pair's dorm turns into a war zone.moreless

  • Mike Henry (VI)

Cleveland/Herbert/Performance Artist/Greased-Up Deaf Guy (and various)

    8.9
Mike is a writer, producer, and voice actor on the hit FOX animated television series Family Guy. While his brother, Patrick, was attending the Rhode Island School of Design, Mike would frequently act in Patrick's student films. This led him to meet another attendee of R.I.S.D, Seth MacFarlane, the creator and executive producer of Family Guy. After graduating from Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Virginia in 1988, Mike moved to Hollywood to seek out his dream of stardom. After a brief stand-up career in LA, he soon found himself moving once again, this time to New York City to write comedy sketches for famed producer Lorne Michaels. A short time later Seth MacFarlane gave him a call to come work on Family Guy as a writer and voice actor, to which Mike gladly accepted. After Family Guy's second cancellation in 2002, Mike and his brother Patrick created a spoof hidden camera show called Kicked in the Nuts, where they paid actors to pretend to be "kicked in the nuts", many of the actors were either current or former staff members on Family Guy. When Family Guy was picked back up by FOX due to strong syndication ratings, and phenomenal sales numbers for the DVD sets, Mike was asked to return to the show.moreless

  • Wally Wingert

    Various

    9.1
A very talented and versatile actor, singer, performer, voice-over artist and writer. You can learn all about Wally at his website: http://www.wallyontheweb.com It is a fascinating website! You will enjoy the audio and video clips, the pictures and the interesting stories on this great guy! Also,i will tell youy the Bio it says on his website(some) Born in Des Moines, Iowa and reared in the Great Plains of South Dakota, Wally developed a love for performing at an early age. From elementary school through High School, he kept busy writing, perfecting impersonations and developing a repertoire of characters and voices. Wally became a regular in school plays and talent shows. He also perfected his talents as a puppeteer. At the age of 16 he entered the only field his Midwestern surroundings had to offer in regard to making money from his abilitiesradio. While DJing, Wally kept his hand at other performing interests; singing, acting, puppeteering and writing. Unfortunately, in South Dakota, making a decent living from performing was an impossibility. So in 1987 Wally moved to Los Angeles.Submitting a string of parody songs to the syndicated "Dr. Demento Show" during his days in Midwestern radio would pay off, because through the help of the good Dr. himself, Wally was hired at Westwood One Radio Network. On weekends he also worked at a jazz station called The Wave. In 1989 Batmania swept the nation with anticipation of a new Batman film from Warner Brothers. When Adam West, Wally's childhood hero, was not re-cast as the title character in the film, he spoke out the best way he knew. The song "Adam West" was a parody of the number one dance song "Wild Wild West", and wove a humorous tale of a disgruntled Bat-Fan whose hero was overlooked for the big screen version of the comic book icon. Wally's hobbies include collecting animation art and autographs, drawing, costuming, collectible toys, rock and roll and beautiful women (not necessarily in that order). He has been active in several charities including the Christian Broadcast Network, the Los Angeles Mission, the Union Rescue Mission, the San Fernando Valley Rescue Mission, the First Christian Church of North Hollywood's Food Pantry, AIDS Project Los Angeles, the Ronald McDonald House, the Jaycees, Special Olympics, Feed the Children, various children's charities and others.moreless
  • Adam West

    Mayor Adam West

    9.1
He breathed life into Batman. Adam West was born Billy (William) West Anderson in Walla Walla, Washington, to parents Otto West Anderson and his wife Audrey. At age 10, Adam had a cache of comic books, and Batman made a big impression on him, the comic hero was part bat-man (a la Count Dracula) and part world's greatest detective (a la Charlie Chan and Sherlock Holmes). When his mom remarried to a Dr. Paul Flothow, she took Adam and his younger brother, John, to Seattle. At 14, Adam attended Lakeside School, then went to Whitman College, where he got a degree in literature and psychology. During his last year of college he also married 17-year-old Billie Lou Yeager. Adam got a job as a DJ at a local radio station, then enrolled at Stanford for post-grad courses. Drafted into the Army, he spent the next 2 years starting military TV stations, first at San Luis Obispo, CA, then at Fort Monmouth, NJ. Afterwards, Adam and his wife toured Europe, visiting Germany, Switzerland and Italy's Isle of Capri. When the money ran out, he joined a childhood and college buddy, Carl Hebenstreit, who was starring in the kiddie program The Kini Popo Show in Hawaii. Adam would eventually replace Carl but not the other star, Peaches the Chimp. In 1956, he got a divorce, and married a beautiful girl, originally from Tahiti, named Ngatokoruaimatauaia Frisbie Dawson (he called her "Nga" for short). They had a daughter, Jonelle, in 1957 and a son, Hunter, in 1958. They later divorced in 1962. In 1959, Adam came to Hollywood. He adopted the stage name "Adam West", which fit his roles, as he was in some Westerns. After 7 years in Tinseltown, he achieved fame in 1966, in his signature role as Batman, in the wildly popular ABC TV series. Though he has over 60 movie and over 80 TV guest appearance credits, Batman is what the fans remember him for. The Batman (1966/II) TV series, which lasted three seasons, made him not just nationally but internationally famous. The movie version earned Adam the "Most Promising New Star" award in 1967. The downside was the Batman fame was partly responsible for ruining his marriage, and he would be typecast and almost unemployable for a while after the series ended (he did nothing but personal appearances for 2 years). In 1972 he met, and then married Marcelle Tagand Lear, so he got two step kids, Moya and Jill. In addition, they had two children of their own: Nina in 1976 and Perrin in 1979. You can't keep a good actor down, Adam's career took off again, and he has been in about 50 projects since then: movies, TV-movies, and sometimes doing voices in TV series. Adam wrote his autobiography Back to the Batcave in 1994. One of his most prized possessions is a drawing of Batman by Bob Kane with the inscription "To my buddy, Adam, who breathed life into my pen and ink creation."moreless

  • Patrick Warburton

    Joe

    5.8
Patrick Warburton lept into pop culture consciousness as David Puddy, Elaine's on-again, off-again boyfriend on the hit sitcom Seinfeld in 1995, and has since then steadily found his deadpan talents in ever-greater demand. With his squinty eyes and hard-boiled detective's voice, Warburton has become a humorous personality who can generate giggles with almost no effort, whether onscreen or in voice-overs.

Warburton was born on November 14, 1964, in Paterson, NJ, and raised in Southern California, a son of little-known television actress Barbara Lord. The future Bugle Boy model studied marine biology at Orange Coast College, where he met his wife, Cathi, before dropping out to pursue modeling and acting at age 19. In his first screen appearance, the 17th century slave film Dragonard (1987), Warburton was subject to what is thought to be the longest onscreen flogging on film, a 100-lash scene that consumes nearly four minutes of screen time. He also appeared in the sequel, Master of Dragonard Hill (1989), before turning his attention to television.

Warburton had guest spots on such shows as Murphy Brown, Designing Women, Gone with the Whim, and Quantum Leap before scoring a recurring role on the short-lived Dave Barry sitcom Dave's World in 1993. But it was not until he appeared in the 1995 episode of Seinfeld entitled "The Fusilli Jerry" that Warburton really started to attract attention. As Puddy, Jerry's lunkhead mechanic who spits out dialogue in macho spurts, notably the catchphrase affirmation "Yeah that's right," Warburton quickly became a popular semi-regular, involved in a running joke about his frequent breakups and reconciliations with Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus). He stayed with the show until it finished in 1998, and provided the voice for Superman in a series of commercials starring Seinfeld.

Warburton had another recurring role as unscrupulous businessman Johnny Johnson on News Radio in 1999, then contributed his memorable voice to characters on the animated shows Family Guy, Hercules, and Buzz Lightyear of Star Command. By this time the big screen was really beckoning, as Warburton flexed his comic talents as a bodyguard in Scream 3 (2000), then toned them down as an American astronomer in Australia in The Dish (2000). His voice was again called upon, this time by Disney, for the role of a sorceress' thug assistant in The Emperor's New Groove (2000).

Going zanier than on Seinfeld, Warburton signed on as the star of the Fox sitcom The Tick, about a muscle-bound but dimwitted superhero in a blue costume, which premiered in the fall of 2001. High-profile projects in 2002 would include a role in the delayed ensemble farce Big Trouble and as Agent T alongside Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith in Men in Black 2. ~ Derek Armstrong, All Movie Guidemoreless

She also began work on the animated sitcom "Family Guy" (1999), voicing celebrities such as Cybill Shepherd and Christina Aguilera. In 2006, Alex is breaking into the mainstream with a lead role in the comedy movie She's the Man (2006). She currently lives in Hollywood. Alex is now starring in the new FX drama, Dirt.moreless
