So, I recently re-watched an episode of "family guy" today and noticed that in seasons passed meg was being taught how to drive by peter and crashed into tv provider and nobody had tv to watch? and than in a later season peter becomes friends with james woods for the first time, and brian dates megs 11th grade teacher who happens to be a black women. that would have made her 16 turning 17, so could anyone help me with the actual episode difference number. and compare that to the most current episode. because if meg was learning how to drive at 15 that would atleast mean that the characters of the show get older? so does the show not account for there actual age increase, or do the producers of the show only make age assumptions when its convenient? because wouldnt meg and chris be in college right now?

Meg turned 18 and should be in college and Chris would be a sophmore by now.

Technically all of the characters should be older, but Family Guy has a floating timeline. Age increases don't necessarily happen unless the writers want to use it for a storyline.
