  • Meg and Peter bonding time!

    7.0
I actually really liked this episode. I mean, it wasn't amazing but it's definitely one of the better ones to come from season 12.

For the first time in quite awhile, Meg and Peter bond together and it was great to say the least. I kind of got tired with Meg abuse so this episode was a breath of fresh air. Peter's explaination on why he treats her like crap was kind of "eh" since I'm currently rewatching the first three seasons of Family Guy and during those episodes, while Meg still got light abuse, Peter cared for her. But I guess, this explanation would be good.

I'm hoping that Meg and Peter have more episodes to bond again in the future. Or heck, I'd love to see one with Meg and Lois where they bond like they did in "A Fish out of Water". If we can see Meg and Peter having a good time together, why not mother and daughter? Perhaps, we can hear Lois' side on why she doesn't care for Meg much.

The B-Plot was pretty hilarious in my opinion. It was funny seeing Brian revert back to his primal instincts and *gasp*, he actually admits his faults ("Not being a real writer", "Not being a genius", . This Brian reminded me of old Brian and I liked that.

All in all, this episode was fairly good. I think it's worth a watch. I think it shows that Family Guy still is capable to chuck out a decent episode if they really try.moreless
  • Meg Episode

    6.0
This show has had its struggles, but there were actually some funny parts in this episode. "Good" by Family Guy standards, but still not that strong an episode overall given the rest of the comedy landscape.
  • A brilliant Season 12 episode!

    10
After those mediocre episodes such as 'Herpe, the Love Sore' and 'The Most Interesting Man in the World' which were OK but doesn't have any meaning as episodes (I mean the plot has no purpose what so ever) and those GOD AWFUL episodes such as 'A Fistful of Meg', 'Vestigial Peter' and 'Into Harmonys Way' (This has NOTHING to do with Brian being gone because I was fine with Vinnie, it was because it was boring) WE FINALLY HAVE A GOOD EPISODE FROM SEASON 12! Do not let the title fool you because although this seems like another Meg-bashing episode, IT'S NOT. It was fun, it feels like watching a Season 3-5 episode and that alone makes me happy that Family Guy is making a good episode.moreless
  • Don't be fooled by the title, this is Family Guy's comeback episode right here!

    9.0
I mean, just because the title has a little bit of Meg abuse doesn't mean the episode is going to be bad! In this episode, we see Peter bonding with Meg. I'm not kidding, people. Plus, we get a back-story on why he abuses her a lot. Sure, there were still some Meg abuse in this episode, but it's not really as bad in this episode as it was when he made God make Meg disappear at the end of 3 Acts of God. I also like Brian's B plot where he acts like a real dog instead of the dog who uses his son and gives everyone herpes. So both plots were very great and felt like I was watching something from Season 4. And people, stop judging this episode by its title and give this episode a thumbs up if you want to!moreless
