  • Ouch, it is bad

    3.5
Peter's mom dies, which leads to him meeting one of her friends, but she gets a little too intimate. Meanwhile, Stewie gets shocked to realize people die and he develops a fear of dying - though he has killed a lot of people (or seen them die - he saw Brian die first hand for instance, though I guess that was retconned in Christmas Guy) in previous episodes...

The plot with Peter leads to gross stuff with his mom's friend trying to get on with him (though , while the Stewie plot is ridiculous and another excuse to slam religion (Buddhism, . Nice of Brian to be such an a**hole to Stewie too, when Meg and Chris are reported missing in this one.

I did enjoy hearing No More Mr. Nice Guy by Alice Cooper in a cutaway though, but that's not enough.moreless
  • Life with louie

    6.0
There was an episode in Life with Louie similar to this one.
  • So now they don't care about Chris anymore either?

    1.5
Last episode and this one had no lines from Chris at all. As if that wasn't bad enough, Stewie actually tried to kill himself in this episode! That's a horrible throwback to the episode in SpongeBob where it looked like Squidward was going to hang himself. Also only one line from Meg in this episode. They really don't give a rat's ass about those two, do they?

    • Lois: Your mother had a stroke this afternoon and died.

Peter: You don't die from that! You host New Year's Eve and talk funny!

This is a reference to Dick Clark's stroke which prevented him from hosting 'New Year's Rockin' Eve 2005'. He would come back the following year and host 'New Year's Rockin' Eve' every year until his death in 2012.

    • Peter's dramatic garage door reveal is set to the song No More Mr. Nice Guy by Alice Cooper.

That song was released on the classic album Billion Dollar Babies in 1973 and appears on various Alice Cooper-related compilations.
