what i liked- everyone laughing at lois mentioning to brian that maybe now he has another chapter for his book, lois laughing uncontrollably at brian as he describes his book to her, the disney on ice mentionings at the beginning, the sad ending with brian learning jillian has moved on and is seeing adam west, amongst other things.

this was OK. Two things brought my score down. One, was the sub plot with Chris and Carl. Sorry, but hearing them talk about movies and the 'hot' actressess in those movies is only funny for a short time. problem is, it was never really that funny to begin with. how they made a sub plot with basically nothing happening but two guys talking about movies, i'll never know.

the other thing was the simpsons gag. that wasn't in bad taste; that was just bad. first, you got quagmire having sex with marge, then you got him killing the Simpsons, but to add insult to injury, you give them the most pathetic voices i have ever heard. "Ay carumba! Mom and dad are dead!" "Oh no! Who will pay for my saxophone lessons!" yea, not funny. I might be biased because i like The Simpsons, but i think if they did this joke with a show i don't like, i'd still hate it. it's disgusting and not funny.

other than those two things, fairly good episode. B- or so.

  • Not bad for a dating episode.

Peter convinces Brian to move in with Jillian. Stewie moves in with them to help pay the rent, but he tries to interfere with Brian and Jillian's relationship. Meanwhile, Meg and Chris get jobs at the local convenience store. While Chris and the manager, Carl, talk about their favorite movies, Meg is stuck with all the hard work. She eventually stands up for herself and as a result, gets fired.

The movie part was the only reason this episode didnt get a perfect score.

  • Overall great but it could have been a little better

    8.5
    "Great"
I thought that this was a great episode of "Family Guy". It wasn't the best episode I've seen but it was quite enjoyable. It was hilarious when Jillian asked Peter if he wanted to go with her to "Disney On Ice" and then Peter gets really excited. Peter hanging out with Jillian in the first 5 minutes of the episode was really entertaining to see and it was very funny. The Founding Fathers cutaway was very funny. It was funny when Carl offered Meg the job to work at the convenience store after Stewie tipped over the magazines and Meg picked it up and put it in alphabetical order. Chris getting a job at the convenience store with Meg was also very good to see.. well.. until it got to the part where Carl and Chris were being mean to Meg (that made me score lower a little low). It was funny that Peter convinced Jillian that Brian should have committed relationship with her and move into an apartment. Stewie being the roommate along with Stewie and Jillian was also very funny. Brian/Stewie story got a little more weaker though after Jillian broke up with Brian and the plot got worse when Jillian going out with Mayor West now... although, the fact that she is going out with Mayor West is funny but the way they ended it was pretty lazy to me. As for the Chris/Meg plot, I'm glad that Chris asked Carl to give Meg the job back. Overall, an overall great episode of "Family Guy". 8.5/10
  • Lame excuse for Family Guy

    "Terrible"
This episode was friggin painful to watch. The jokes, if they existed, were unfunny and the storyline retarded. I feel the storyline was the only thing the episode had to "offer" because we ALL know that people watch Family Guy for the plot. (sarcasm) Most of the episode was Chris and that convenience store dude talking about movies! This is what passes for Family Guy now? This crap? The only joke that was funny was when Stewie made fun of the immigrant kids. I really didn't care for Brian's relationship and still didn't give a damn when he and Jillian broke up, an event which had almost no effect on the show.
  • Barely anything redeeming about this episode.

    2.1
    "Terrible"
This episode dissappointed me. It was probably written by manatees. To tell the truth, this is one of my least favorites episodes. Not much happened in this episode. The Adult Swim version included a deleted scene that showed Quagmire having sex with Marge Simpson. Homer finds Quagmire on his wife, and Quagmire shoots the entire Simpsons family. This failed to make me laugh, even though the voice impersonations were good.

My least favorite part was probably when Chris And Carl were talking about movies. This was extremely boring and stupid. And it was out of caracter for Chris to actually know so much about movies. We're talking about a kid who's even dumber than Peter. Speaking of Peter, he was barely even in this episode. He didn't have any funny diologue in this episode, he was just there for nothing.

The main plot is that Brian is force to move in with Jillian even though he doesn't want to. Jillian fids out that Brian didn't want to live with her and dumps him. I was relieved, and hopefulyy we won't be seeing annoying Jillian anymore. The only redeaming thing about this episode was Stewie and the cut scene about the writing about the constitution ("with liberty and justice for all-except the jews"). I did find it funny when he was riding one of those little 25 cent rides in front of Wal-Mart, the taunting Mexican kids and laughing at them. The gag about his questionable sexualty was used again when he told Brian he should have sex with the first person hew sees, then looks at Brian.
  • Fine example of Family Guy

I rather enjoyed this Season 7 episode, which many others seem to dislike. I liked the storyline involving Meg, Chris and the owner of the Convenience store. The funniest part and in my opinion one of the most laughable scenes is where the Simpsons come in during the episode, and not only does Quagmire screw Marge, but Homer Simpson expresses his aggression in Family Guy's biggest insult against the series in which Homer guns down his family, freaking hilarious.

Onto Brian and Jillian, oh boy. This was the weak side of the episode, though Peter's stupid comments kept the flow running. Why does Brian date that dumb b*tch? Seriously is he that desperate. Though, Stewie's dialog totally upgraded the weak points.

It was also hilarious to see yet again another episode where Meg is given the going at by several people. She sucks, and that'll never change. Overall, fine episode with a few flaws, but damn so many laughs as well.
  • So the family wants Brian to move in with Jillian, and he does. Stewie comes to live with them. Chris and Meg get jobs at the convenient store, and Meg gets fired...

Like I always say about Family Guy, This episode was Awesome! This was another great episode, and also very, very, funny! I loved the part when Stewie made everything fall, and he was talking weird, and also how Jillian was! I wish Jillian didn't break up with Brian, but it was still good. Mayor West and Jillian are together, now! I liked how Meg was on the phone with Peter, and also how Meg got fired! My favorite part was when Stewie was living with Brian and Jillian! That was really funny because he did a lot of hilarious things! I really hope that Jillian and Brian get back together in later seasons of Family Guy! Well, this episode was absolutely great!

Brian gets Peter to go to Disney on Ice with Jillian and Peter convinces Jillian to get Brian to move in with her. Brian does it (after a talk with Lois) and they're happy, but Brian gets Stewie to move in with him so that he can pay half of Brians rent. Stewie tells Jillian the truth and Jillian leaves. By the end of the episode, Brillian is no more. Also, Chris and Meg get a job at the Quahog mini mart and megs being treated unfairly. anyway, Meg gets fired and Chris gets Meg her job back. This episode had 1 or 2 laughs.

This is witohut a dowt the worst epsidoe in Family Guy history iv never seen an epsiode i dindnt laugh at or really enjoy but this one was a lazy episdoe filler that seems it took 10 minutes ot come up with. Its obvious they was sick of concentrating on Peter and Stewie the only two really funny characters and decided to give Brian a go but hes jsut not intresting the only thing they could do was give him a girlfriend [Jillian]Then have them break up .The plot was forced and the pair could have split up with out dedicateing a whole epsidoe to it ti sholud have been a b plot or better a c plot or better just a 2 minute gag not a full epsidoe that had no funny jokes.I understand they tried to tell a sotry about Brian but if there going to tell a story do it on some one human and funny in fact Family guy stick to you manatee gags peter and stewie in the future
  • A very sad episode that did not have any jokes that were funny to me.

    7.3
    "Good"
Brian turns down a chance to see Disney on Ice with Jillian, so he decides to give his ticket to Peter. After Peter and Jillian spend the entire day together and greatly enjoy each other's company, Peter convinces Jillian to either force Brian to let her move in with him or leave him. A reluctant Brian agrees to get an apartment with Jillian. Much to his surprise, Brian has a good time living with Jillian, but he comes to the realization that there is no way he can pay the rent by himself and he decides to allow Stewie to move in with them, who now makes money with his own paper route. Brian does not tell Jillian that Stewie is helping with the rent, rather he tells her Stewie misses him. Stewie quickly gets in the way of Brian and Jillian's happiness living together and after arguing with Brian one night while he is having sex with Jillian, Stewie reveals that he is paying half the rent, prompting Brian to admit he never wanted to move in with Jillian at all. Heartbroken, Jillian leaves Brian.

After many failed attempts to lift a saddened Brian's spirits, Stewie convinces Brian to try to get Jillian back. Brian goes to her apartment, only to find that she has now moved in with Mayor Adam West. As the two go their separate ways, Brian moves back in with the Griffins, where he manages to move on with his life.

In the side story, Meg is given a job at a local convenience store. Meg is extremely happy with her job and she decides to help Chris get a job there who was taking a sabbatical. Chris immediately clicks with the store owner, Carl (played by H. Jon Benjamin), and he is given a large promotion which Carl originally promised to Meg. When Meg takes issue with this, she is fired. Lois, to whom Meg has told of her plight, explains the situation to Chris and tells him to stand up for Meg by getting her job back. Chris is able to do this after bribing Carl by withholding his opinions of movies he and Carl normally discuss until Carl re-hires her. Meg, in turn, rejects working at the store again, as she only had Chris get her her job back to see if he would stand up for her.

Now this is the Family Guy I know. This was an episode you would see from Season 1 or Season2. It had everything that made this show great in the first place. there was character development, a good plot, nothing random and less of Peter. I liked the ending that reminded me of family guy old school and it great to see meg and Chris in a good plot for a change. the scene with Chris and that clerk type guy was a little too long but I will let that one slide. I felt sorry for Jillian but she will bounce back. Those 2 weren't meant to be. I hope that Family Guy stays on track after this one and I hope that Peters' Daughter will be great because it sounds good.

ok this episode is alittle good but mostly awful the jokes in this episode the jokes were not funny at all and it harly got no comedy i was expeciting more but this episode is bad this episode is also alittle good in the begginin of this episode but then around the middle of it and also in the end of this episode it got more badder and badder all the other episode in this series are awsome but this episode is just not good this episode was also short so i give this episode a 6.1/10 this episode was like an average but not my favorite episode at all
  • A wonderful flashback to the original Family Guy seasons. It also does a wonderful job of weeding out the hypocrites among Family Guy critics.

    9.0
    "Superb"
I am probably in the minority when I say I loved this episode. It was actually plot driven unlike most of the other new episodes. I love all the other Family Guy episodes don't get me wrong, it was just great that they went along with a plot driven episode this time.

It all seemed to go along pretty well, they hardly had any (I think about 2) cutaway/flashback jokes or random humor. The plot with Brian moving in with Jillian was well written, same with the B-plot (Meg and Chris working in the convenience store). Although I do admit the movie talk between Chris and Carl could have been shorter. Fans of the original seasons of Family Guy should love this one and even some newer fans might love it as well.

As I said in the summary it also does a decent job of weeding out the hypocrites among the critics. Here we have an episode that pretty meets all of the demands of the critics/haters so far. It contained almost no flashback/cutaway jokes, no random stuff (the Simpsons joke doesn't really count since not everyone could see it), had character development (Chris, Meg, Brian, even Jillian), and had a plot that drove the episode. Yet it gets the same flaming from the same people. Do not pay attention to the bad reviews for this episode. It is a very good plot driven episode and deserves a good chance. Please give it one next time it airs.

family guy is just not fun to watch anymore. i just watched movin' out today, and it was horrible. the jokes weren't funny and the plot was terrible. also the simpsons reference was wrong because the simpsons blows family guy out of the water. i mean quagmire killing the whole family, that's just pointless and cruel. one more bad episode and im done. the star wars episode was such a great start to the new season but now im turned off. ill spend my time watching south park or simpsons instead of this crap. come on family guy, youre better than this...
  • Wow has this show gone downhill since the middle of season 4....

    2.8
    "Terrible"
I can't believe I actually sat through this episode. There was way too much talking and not enough jokes. I didn't even get most of the dialogue but the most important part was it wasn't funny in the first place. The plot jumped around (I mean why was Peter with Jillian in the first place?) and screamed lazy on part of the writers. This episode was terrible I don't know how FG can recover...I kept expecting fox to insert a "this show has been cancelled" halfway through the episode. Just flat out painful to watch...they couldn't even do a decent parody of 'Clerks'
  • Pretty boring episode.

This episode was just a big let-down. After the greatness that was Blue Harvest, we get this. For some reason, Brian moves out and gets an apartment with Jillian. Then, Stewie comes. This eventually leads to Brian and Jillian breaking up, which wasn't an interesting relationship to me. Brian tries to reconcile, but Jillian ended up going out with Mayor West. Now about the subplot, Meg gets a job from a guy voiced by the guy who played Coach McGuirk. The boss starts liking Chris and talks about movies with him. He fires Meg. Chris feels bad. He tries to get the boss to give Meg back the job. Ugh. The lack of cutaways sort of made this episode bland.
  • Convience subplot better than the main story!

    7.0
    "Good"
I like this week's episode of "Family guy," but I didn't like it a lot Brain moves in with Jillain, but the story which caught my eye is that Meg and chris got themselves a job at a nearby convience story with a guy who knows a lot about movies. Maybe he should quit the day job and become a film critic. My syuggestion. Meanwhile the story about Brain moving in with Jullian is very weak. I was about to give it a 6.5, but because of the strong convience store plot, I gave this episode of "Family guy" a 7.
  • Hmmm, now I remember why I stopped watching the show a year ago...

Seriously, I really lost interest in this show about a year ago and just gave up on trying to figure out if would get any better. A year later and it looks like the writers are up to the same old crap. When will they ever get it? **Idle conversation does NOT equal funny!!!!!!!*** But here we are again, rehashing the same old joke...Why? Maybe because it makes for great filler, or rather that it fills 6 min of time that these lazy writers could have used to make actual funny jokes? Maybe? Yes? No? Do I care? Looks like I just lost interest again...

    Family Guy... WTF????

This episode really sucked. After the star wars episode was so great i thought this episode was gonna rock. I laughed like twice. This episode focused way too much on chris and carl talking about movies. Peter had barely any role in this episode. If you ask me, whoever wrote this episode had no clue what they were thinking. There was not enough peter, and stewie wasnt even that funny. I am so happy that the episode after this was so funny, cuz i thought this episode really sucked. I'd give this a 5.0. Sorry but family guy can do better.
  • All the while it seemed they were just tying up loose ends

Family Guy shouldn't make sense. When it does and stops bizarrely referencing old shows you begin to see the cracks. Essentially Brian moves out with Gillian, Stewie moves in, Gillian moves out. To be honest I can hardly remember any of the jokes in the main storyline, and it just heightens the idea of Brian as a hard-done by straight-guy character. The Gillian (oh my god, you're dumb) joke got real tired real fast and not even Peter (oh my god, you're also dumb) can save this. The episode's saving grace is Chris getting a job at the convenience store and leaves Seth Green a lot of screen time to blandly discuss films with Carl the clerk (also Green). It may not sound like it, but this is actually quite funny. Definitely the best part of the show, and with the amount of airtime this is given, shows serious timing problems. I hope this doesn't show they're finally running out of the random comedy that gives the show it's edge.
  • A truly consistent Family Guy? Impossible!

    10
    "Perfect"
That Star Wars thing had parts that represented everything that is lame about Family Guy. Fortunately, this episode had absolutely none of what made that Star Wars episode so bad.

There were very few cutaway jokes, and whatever ones there were were all funny, like the one-armed baseball player joke. I was thrilled to see that the episode cut to commercial two out of three times without a joke tacked on. Commercial breaks are known for attracting awful jokes, and I believe that if you can't come up with a good joke, you shouldn't put in a joke at all.

I was very very pleased to see the return of the convenience store guy, Carl. Jon Benjamin's voice brings me back to my days as a child, watching marathons of Dr. Katz on Comedy Central because that was the only show they had back then. It was more than just nostalgia, since I could have listened to hours of Carl and Chris going back and forth about movies. The sad part was, change the movie titles around some and Carl is me.
  • 2nd worst episode ever

    "Abysmal"
this show is going downhill fast, and this is an example. they need more flashbacks that are funny. there is too much plot. this was the worst episode i had even seen except for AIRPORT 07, in which i did not laugh once. this episode had two funny moments: when stewie rode the toy in front of the mexicans, and when peter put on his donald duck costume (t-shirt and no pants). the rest of the show was awkward conversations (which they are terrible at, when the office masters that aspect of TV), and just plain old plot. typically, episodes where brian does a lot are not very good, i am just saying.

star wars was OK, but this one stunk. this show is in great danger! One more bad episode and i will stop watchign

A fake advertisement for The Simpsons with Marge appears on the bottom of the screen. A tiny Quagmire walks in and decides to have sex with Marge (offscreen) and then kills the entire Simpson family after they walk in on them (also offscreen). This was the funniest scene of the episode. Unfortunately, it was also the only scene of the episode that I wasn't able to watch, because it was edited out due to censorship. In other words, the episode did not have any significantly funny scenes. It was a flop. The very end of the episode, however, was funny enough to give hope to the next one.

That was one of the worst episodes in the series. Every next season is worst ( are they running out of ideas?)

Funny moment = rare item. I get the feeling that the creators are focusing more on the plot and less on the situational comedy. Is it me or there were no "It's like that time when i was..." scenes, which i like the most. I guess there is no episode without Peter & his friends. Stewie had some bright moments. I hated the scenes with Chris and the shop manager which were like 3 min long. btw: Meg is still ugly as hell + doll + uninteresting.

This was a sad episode for Family Guy fans every where. I don't think I've ever laughed so little( except while watchin cavemen). The episode was not funny for me at all. I thought it had lost it last season with the Bill Clinton episode, then came the Star Wars episode and all looked well. Now we're back to where we were before. Please don't let it continue if it's like this. I love Family Guy so much but this episode was awfull. First Simpsons now this. All of my favorite shows are dying. Is there no hope? Tome will tell.

Wait! What? Was that the most painful episode of family guy to watch ever? I believe so. The plot and the "covering" of the other show are well done but the humor is below zero. I even started to think that Fox sacked the good script writers and replaced them with the ones from Dharma&Greg. Terrible, terrible episode. I just hope that this isn't some kind of gag just to get more viewers to watch the show. Because if it is, I and many others won't be the ones watching it. Seriously, I only registrated myself in this forum just to write how bad this episode was.

This was a really stupid episode. What's the point with drama on family guy? And there were like 2 or 3 funny moments in the entire episode. this show is just getting more stupid, I've been a fan since the beginning but now i'm slowly starting to change my mind about this show. I think 99% of the people watching the show, only watch it because it's so funny. the drama on Family guy is just typical everyday crap, which you see on Days of our lives and **** like that all day. I miss the old Family guy.. So quit smoking pot and do some real working instead!
  • Family Guy's first dramatic episode.

    8.9
    "Great"
This episode actually has more drama than comedy. Why, well let's just say it was from Brian and Jillian. At the beginning they were okay togetther. Later in the middle, they broke up. And at the end, Brian trie to win the hottest girl back, but sadly fails because Jillian stupidly cheated on him with Mayor West. What is going to happen to her? Is she going to start a family with an 80- year old man. That is wrong. Brian should've married Jillian and become a happy family. So ladies and gentleman, because of a higher chance of removing Jillian from the show, this is my FINAL family guy review. It was good but sad because the (almost) perfect couple broken up and it was sad. So thank yo guys for reading my other reviews for episodes of family guy. If any of you agrees with my other reviews, yay, but otherwise, if not, then it's okay. Since Jillian may not come back, I can't no longer write crappy reviews so goodbye ladies and gentleman, as the last word(s) Jillian said to Brian when they broke up. :( (tear)
  • This is episode is a waste of time. The summary is actually more entertaining rather than watching the episode itself.

    5.0
    "Mediocre"
Okay, this episode is pure garbage, the kind of stuff that rots your brain. Brian's remark about Walt Disney is unfounded, the guy made Anti-Hitler cartoons for goodness's sake, and that's just the tip of the ice brig.

Problem 1: Chris and Carl were boring and just killed air time

Problem 2: Lois's and Chris's talk about Meg was a good change of pace from all the bashing she being getting, but there was no real emotion in the two's conversation, no love.

Problem 3: Stewie was once again out of character.

Problem 4: Though it was good to finally have plot in this episode, it was poorly done.

I stand firm when I say that Family isn't the same show when it first aired. back then it had class; but now, it's just crap! Almost all the characters changed for no-reason and the writers are keep on using jokes that no-one likes, like the long winded conversations and the Family Bashing on Meg. Overall, I used to be a fan of the show, but not anymore; and of they don't start to shape up, I going to wash my hands of the show forever.
  • Family Guy is in rehab but recovery is slow and painful.

    7.7
    "Good"
Well, I wouldn't say the ep was anything wonderful, but we did see the first Meg+Chris plot for ages and Peter played a minor role, But there were also bad points as well, the movie bits just felt like they were tagged on to give the show more length, Meanwhile, It looks like we haven't seen the last of Gillian, which is a shame as she is one of the most annoying characters in the show, and even though Herbets line was funny, I feel Famiy Guy still has a long way to go to get back to it's best, but this is a fair start, and was better than most of the last season.
