  • First perfect episode for the revival series

    10
    "Perfect"
After winning a game of Trivial Pursuit, Peter is convinced he is a genius. To prove Peter wrong, Brian suggests he take a test of the MacArthur Genius Grant. The test results say that Peter is technically mentally challenged. Peter has no problem abusing this handicap until Lois is injured and the kids are taken away because Peter is not mentally fit for parenting. Once again, excellent episode but way better than the previous ones in the season. Although my nitpick was a couple dragged parts but only a perfect score because I thought it was much funnier than North by North Quahog and The Cleveland Loretta Quagmire (both whom were almost perfect). Anyway, funny parts were all the cutaways, the first few minutes with the adults particularing, Peter thinks he's a genius after winning a game, some of the lines, and a few more. Overall, season 4 as well as the revival series gets its first perfect episode. 10/10

  • There are things about this episode that bothered me.

    "Great"
I like this episode very much, but there were a couple of things about it that bothered me.First,if Peter is retarded, does that make Cris retarded as well? Next, I didn't like the way they showed retarded people. I have know lots of them, and none of them ever acted as irresponibly as Peter did.
  • Funny!

    What I liked:

    * Peter and the Trivial Pursuit game. He doesn't know what color a fire truck is. LMFAO!

    * Peter is convinced he is a genius and finds out he really is not a genius.

    * The ending. Overall, I think that this was one of the best episodes of season 4 if not one of the best of the series. I would recommend watching this ep.
  • It's horrible! What is so special about it anyway?

    "Abysmal"
Seriously, I have never seen such a horrible FG episode! The plot failed to impress, and the fact that they played on Peter's lack of intelligence kind of irked me too. Most FG episodes are at least good, but this one? I hate it! We all know that Peter is dumb and doesn't look out for many people, but they didn't have to make an episode about it! and the Meg bashing is getting seriously annoying too. Season 4 should ditch it right away! and Lois losing the kids? That's already been done in "Love Thy Trophy" when Lois nearly lost Stewie. But that episode was great!

Season 4 has its good and really really bad episodes, but this one really made FG look stupid! Just my opinion though.
  • I'm not a fan of the show but there's no denying the quality of this episode.

During a game night at the Griffin's; Peter wins a fixed game a Trivial Pursuit and starts bragging about being a genius until Brian gets him to take a test to prove that he's not a genius but mentally retarded. When Peter starts using his retarded excuse for misbehaving; Lois ends up in hospital and the kids are taken from him. Has Peter messed things up for good? Apart from the inane "Vaginal Monologue" and Firetruck gag this is a very down - to - earth episode and relies more on wit than random cutaways to be funny and it is. A lot of the issues are realistic and it even gets pretty dramatic towards the end which is saved with a final twist of humour and for once ends with a true happy ending. Visually this episode is one of the best with very nice background design and crispness and the vocal performances from Seth and Seth and Seth and Seth and Seth are great. This is one of the more excellent episodes of a hit and miss show.
  • Isn't it obvious he's retarded before this episode?

Peter thinks he is a genius and he takes a test, but the test proves quite the opposite; he's mentally retarded. Peter has fun now that he can say this, so he does stupid, immature stuff around town. But soon he injures Lois, and he goes to court where the judge deems he is unfit to raise kids. In the end Lois gets better and Peter and her get the kids back.

A good episode, but not great. Peter is REALLY ridiculous in this one, and his pure ridiculousness is not always funny, I do not think. Overall grade- C

At first I did not care for this episode, but like so many Family Guys, after you watch it a couple of times you learn to like it more and more. Peter struggling to answer the question say the word what was excellent. "Fantastic four fantastic four, steak, small order of peas. I wanna say who?" Simply put this episode featured the show's witty dialogue and not a plethora of cutaway scenes, something that has problem for the show since its return in 2005. This is superior to most of the current season, and hopefully you will rewatch it if its on.

Peter and his friends and family are playing Trivia Pursuit. Lois switches Peter's questions to the kindergarten level. Peter wins, and is convinced he is a genious. Brian gets fed up, so he maked Peter take an IQ test. When they get the results, they find out peter is mentally challenged. Peter is happy, that now he can do whatever, with the excuse of being retarted. He walks into ladies bathroom stalls, he speeeds and much more. He accidently burns Lois. While visiting Lois with the kids, and agent goes to Peter and tells him he is not able to take care of his kids anymore. What will happen next?
  • Hilarious!

    "Perfect"
The only way to describe this episode of Family Guy is Hilarious. All throughout this episode it is just constant joke after joke. In this particular episode it is about how Peter thinks he his a genius because he won a game of Trival Pursuit. Brian challanges him to take a test to see if is actually a genius and it turns out that Peter is actually mentally retarted. When Peter finds out that he can abuse these priveledges he does so and things start to turn out bad for Peter. This is a top 5 family guy episode and it is a must watch if you like family guy. If you don't laugh while watching this episode there is something wrong with you.
  • The ambulances have to wait. LOL!

This was so funny! Not so good quality as the last episode when Quagmire cheated on Cleveland's wife but it was pretty good. Peter finds out he's mentally challenged and it was so funny. The ball part, where Peter was chasing it was so FUNNY! It had tons of flashbacks, and they were all so funny. Id want to watch this episode, again and again and again and again. This is another of my favorites of season 4 of its... Family... Guy! And Cleveland acted more mature after him and his wife broke up. This was a good episode about 9/10.
  • Peter discovers he is retarded after taking an intelligence test.

    10
    "Perfect"
This is a amazing episode in which, after winning a game of trivial pursuit, Peter believes himself to be a Genius. But after taking an intelligence test, suggested by Brian-wanting to prove to Peter that he is a dumbass, Peter discovers he is actually below the line of mental retardation. Yes, Peter is a retard He then goes on to lose his kids and put his wife in hospital before then getting everything back at the end of the episode.

What makes this episode so great is that it is possibly the funniest idea Family Guy has ever come up with. Peter being identified as a retard means they can do gag after glorious gag of Peter being a complete idiot. It means that they can be even more outrageous than ever. And that is why this is such a great episode.
  • One of the funniest episodes I have ever seen in the whole series...

Two words can be used to describe the comedy in this episode flippen sweet... This type of comedy makes Family Guy what it is today, and it also makes it one of the most watched shows on televison. Anotherwords, Family Guy keep it up!!!
  • after winning a game of trivial pursuit, peter belives he is a geniues, so he takes an Iq test and finds out that he is actualy retarded.

    "Perfect"
this episode if freakin' sweet. it is one of the greatest episodes of family guy ever writen and should be scored at a 10.0 by every one who has ever seen it because it is so utterly awsome in every singe way. i think they should have gone further and made an entire hour long, family guy tv movie about it just like stewie griffen the untold story. one of the most memerable family guy quotes of all time is "attention resteraun customers, testicals, that is all". peter being retarded is the funniest thing since, well ever. I recomend that this episode be the first episode to watch if you had never seen family guy before. this episode is so great that even god would say "damn that is a good episode"
  • Peter finds out how dumb he is.

    9.1
    "Superb"
After lois lets peter win a game of trivial pursuit, peter thinks hes a genius. brian gets tired of peters arrogant attitude and tells him to prove hes a genius by taking a smartness test. When the results come back, it turns out peter is the opposite of a genius. he's dumb. so peter tries to get on with his life and then finds out the privileges of being stupid. after accidently sending lois to the hoaspital, a guy who hates dumb people takes peters kids away and gives them to cleveland. later, lois gets them back. what a great episode
  • Very funny one of the best!!!

This is one of my personal favorites. Its a personal favorite of mine because its just plain funny and it has some of the best acting by peter in a very long time. The good things about this episode is how it shows the way peter would have acted if he was ever to be a certified retard.Another good thing about the episode is how peter acted through out the whole episode he really made me belieive he was a retard even though he wasn't and him self didn't know he was a retard. The last good thing to me is how he walked into a burning bar and saved a friend without know that the building was on fire.
  • Peter tries to find if he is retarrded, he goes to write for an exam for retarded people and he realises that he is retarded having fun by doing the retarded in almost every place he goes.Even in the church!

After winning a game of Trivial Pursuit, Peter wants to prove that he's a genius. That's why I love this episode so much! I just cannot stop bragging about how much I love this episode. It's the best episode since Season 2 ended. Peter was also kicking bathroom stall doors open. The police took the kids away from him, but Cleveland offered to take care of them. In the end, Peter got Chris, Meg, and Stewie back though. These are my favorite parts of the episode:

    - Everyone shooting Peter Weller in the house

    - The singing tumor

    - Brian swears

    - Peter kicked open the ladies' bathroom stalls

    - Peter got his head stuck in that food and yelled

    - Peter announced testicles at that restaurant
  • Funniest episode ever.

I thought this was the funniest episode ever of Family Guy ever. They just had funny stuff throughout the whole show and the flashbacks and/or clips were hilarious. Here are my favorite parts of "Petarded":

.The Timer the Cheese Guy flashback

.The National Geographic special on fire trucks

.Peter goes through all the ladies bathroom stalls

Overall, this was a terrific and classic episode of Family Guy.
  • The ambulances will have to wait their turn!

    "Perfect"
Hillarious, definitely the best episode this season. I really cant get over the firetruck scene. Not only have I never seen anything at all like it before, it was just so damn funny. A Solitary Killer, The Fire Truck Stalks its Prey...lol! The Ambulances will have to wait their turn...

Everything was just so funny. From Clevelands black game, two decades of decency, and his quote of \"You just get a little bit more eachtime\". LOL!

Even though the same storyline had been done on the Simpsons, Petarded tops its 200%. Every joke was clearer, funnier, more politically incorrect.

The scene where Peter went into the womens bathroom was priceless. As he looked at them on the toilet all he said was \"Im retarded\" and they are like \"Oh all right\".

Again Meg was insulted and insulted and it was funnier and funnier. Im still waiting for her to become Ron.

Even though he wasn\'t in the episode much, Stewies moments were priceless just were Brians especially when he boasted to Peter that he was retarded.

Overall fantastic episode, couldn\'t have been any better.
  • Hahahahaha! One of the funniest episodes of Family Guy I have ever seen! Peter finding out he's a retard, what could be any more hilarious?

Hahahahaha! One of the funniest episodes of Family Guy I have ever seen! Peter finding out he's a retard, what could be any more hilarious? This episode has so many classic moments. The funniest moments include: Game night, going into the girls' toilets, a French Frie maker & outrageous clapping from Peter when he gets like a "Retard Helper" & starts doing stupid things. I could honestly watch this episode over & over again because it is so laugh out loud funny! I truly recommend it to all people that want to get into Family Guy, it truly is a "Series classic"!

FAmily guy. The fart "round" melody with michael moore in teh bahtroom. lol. hsyreicla awese.

the fountaoin of youth giant head was hysteircal and the eating the paraplepaguy. similar in humor to sp, but with single, slower, direct jokes. sp is a barrage of wicked funny jokes. both good methods.3:31pm

mayor west is so wierd. yesll constes3:45pm. stewie wti hteh milkd duds. hshterical! this is getting funnier.

locking his keys out of the car was hysterical. SP definitely has more vicious ntense humor, which is funnier and all of it could Potentially happen in the SP world. Family guy just steps beyond it's bounds. it's still ralyfu. south park is way better, but quagmire's giggities are definitely getting funnier. The barfing was funny, but they kind of copied it from southpark. some of the references are two obsucre like growign pains kirk cameron, who knows that? The dazed and confused reference was pretty funny.some of the part-regulars, like upside down face, seem like they should be one-timers, wierd seeing them regular.s making fun of hitler, too, was taken from south park . south park still is a 100 and fam guy is about a 65-70.

Sp is about 30-40 times funnier, but fg is still the best cartoon on subsequent sp.
  • peter finds out he is retarded

After winning a game of trivial pursuit peter thinks that he is a genius. After getting on everyones nerves Brian tell peter to go take a test, which will prove if he is a genis or not. Of corse peter takes the test and he is not a Genius he is really mentally retared. Lois and Peter go out to dinner and after peter almost drowns* in his soup they head home and Peter hits Tom Tucker and after Tom realises that he is a mentally retared guy he says not to worry about it. Peter knows form then he can get away with anything. So he satarts a bible fight, kickes doors open in the girls toilets etc. But when lois and peter are in a fast food place and peter tries to get deep frier and while doing it he throws the boiling oil all over lois. After Lois is put into hospital , The kids are taken away from peter because he is mentally retarded, and the kids stay with Cleveland*. Peter tries to make Cleveland look like a bad parent, but just makes peter look worse after court peter has fully been taken away from his kids and rite near the end of the episode Lois walkes in with the kids and everything is better! i LOVE family guy!
  • After winning a game of trival persuit, Peter believes he is the smartest man on the planet. He goes around talking down to everyone. So Brian has him take an IQ test with surprising results.

    8.2

Shameful, disgusting, disturbed, evil, sick, twisted, rude, cruel, and the funniest f***ing thing I have seen in my whole life. I mean, seriously, Peter, thinking that Joe's disabilitly is the same as being retarded, who wouldnt be offended by that? Not to mention the game they all play at the begining of the episode and Clevland's remarks about how nobody ever wins you just do a little better every time. It's so horrible in it's disturbing message, that it is such a great show. It takes the worst things about humanity and the way the world works and make them funny. Keep up the good work.
  • Sorry mss griffin but your husband is retarded

This is the first episode of the series were they include the word f%$#.Yep its when brian says it to Peter.

Really i dont see the point theyre just trying to be more like south park.

This episode was funyy but at times it went for a few minutes without anyone laughing.

    ....Stewie for Governer ...
  • Well paced with a plethora of sight gags and cutaways, this episode restores my faith in the new team of writers.

    7.2
    "Good"
I love Petarded. While it's patchy in places, there are enough laughs to make this a memorable episode. The sudden cut-to-gobbling-food gag was so funny that I collapsed in hysterics, and the Sesame Street reference with the prostitutes was priceless.

Peter's discovery that he is mentally retarded, is rich comic material, and the writing team mines it in classic Family Guy fashion. From the scale chart of IQ levels with Creationists at the bottom, to Peter's exploitation of his retarded status by invading the ladies' bathroom cubicles, this is an extremely funny episode.

My only real complaint is that the opening sequence is a little long and flat, a recurring problem which becomes more noticeable in later episodes and reaches its awful and unfunny peak in the atrocious Osama skit at the beginning of PTV in season five.

Overall I rate this as one of the standout instalments of the show, and definitely the pick of Season Four.
  • PETER THINKS HE IS A GENIUS WHEN HE WIN TRIVIA PERSUIT BUT DOCTOR PROVES HE IS A TOTAL RETARD PETER INJURES LOIS SO COURT SAYS HE IS NOT FIT ENOUGH TO CARE FOR CHILDREN THE CHILDREN ARE HANDED OVER TO CLEAVELAND. LOIS,CHILDREN

This is the best epispde ever!!!!!!!!

It Kept me laughing till i cried

The best bit is when Peter is playing trivia persuit and is trying to get the answer to easy questions. What colour s a firetruck and say the word what are the two questions ofcourse he struggles but gets them eventually. The gun fight at the start is hilarous aswell.

  • One of the most surprising Family Guy episodes ever. Not because of what actually takes place, but because of the quality. Season 4 had a rough start with most Family Guy fans, myself included. However, this episode I could look at as a classic.

    9.3
    "Superb"
I was really excited about this episode and I wasn\'t dissapointed. The opening was one of the best opening acts in Family Guy history. The whole \"game night\" scene was fantastic and the Discovery Channel parody segment was the writers at thier creative best. Not to mention a moment which should be remeber as a classic to Family Guy. I felt really revved up after the first act ended. I really felt for the first time since \"Love Thy Trophy\" that the show was hitting a comedic stride.

The second act slowed down a little, and half way through it seemed like it was going to be a big letdown compared to the first act. However the show turned to it\'s usual filler master, Stewie. With one of the most sarcastic rebuttals since his \"Wow, that\'s really fresh\" comment in \"From Method to Madness\", he provides the saving grace of the second act. In between this there are a few okay Peter jokes. In particular, Peter\'s new motivator and the high five (followed by \"alright\").

The final act stormed into the dilemma and quickly produced a fantastic climax. We see Peter in a moment of desperation and he is forced to make a sacrifice for his family. In this we\'re treating to a great joke about the seven hookers. The scene that follows is another semi - emotional Family Guy ending, yet the whole ending leaves with too many jokes to bring a tear to your eye. It\'s a common problem in FG, apparently Macfarlane doesn\'t want anything to do with an emotional ending. But once he\'s ready for it, you\'ll bet that FG fans will praise it\'s greatness.
