The Episode opens with Lois asking Peter to attend a PTA meeting, Peter then asks Brian to go in his place. At the PTA meeting Brian meets this Chris's teacher Ms. Shauna Parks and they hit it off. Brian's newfound love interest causes him to spend less time with Peter, this cause a rift in Peter and Brian's friendship. Meanwhile, in an attempt to impress his new female friend Brian suggests that they rename James Woods High School after Martin Luther King Jr. Brian continues to avoid Peter to go out with Shauna so this causes Peter to look for a new best friend. Then the news comes in that Shauna approaches the school board about having the name of the school changed. But at the board meeting to change the schools name, Peter barges in with James Woods and causes the school board to change their mind, and let the school name remain. This stunt by Peter causes a bigger rift between Peter and Brian, this make Peter adopt James Woods as his new best friend. Shauna is very upset about Peter's interference and give Brian an ultimatum, either her or Peter. Brian inadvertently chooses Peter and ends the relationship with Shauna. Brian then goes to apologize to Peter and finds out about Peter's new best friend who has taken Brian's place. However Peter's new best friend is not all he was cracked up to be and Peter is soon uninterested in James and makes back up with Brian. This causes James to become obsessive and Brian and Peter now have to come up with a plan to get rid of James. The plan is a success and they get rid of James and everything is back to normal.
