Quagmire's dad was a big part of his life growing up, but in Fore Father, Quagmire tells Chris he didn't have a dad.
Music:
Walking On Sunshine by Katrina & The Waves, sung by Peter
Quagmire's front door swings different ways throughout the episode. When Joe and Peter come over, the door swings open with the hinge on the right, but when Ida walks into Quagmire's house after Quagmire storms out of dinner, the door swings open with the hinge on the left.
Meg: I like the outfit you have on.
Ida: Thank you, Meg. Who did your procedure?
Meg: Wow. You just burned your last friend in this room, lady.
Dan: Glenn, you have my word. I'm not gay.
Quagmire: You promise?
Dan: I promise.
Quagmire: Alright... I believe you.
Dan: But I am a woman trapped in a man's body, and while I'm in Quahog, I plan to have a sex-change operation.
Quagmire: (stunned) Oh, come on. Just be gay.
Quagmire: Dad... Are you gay?
Dan: What?
Quagmire: Are you gay, dad?
Dan: No, Glenn. Of course not.
Quagmire: Just tell me the truth!
Dan: I am telling you the truth. Now, calm down; you're ruining this ball. You know how much I love balls.
Quagmire: Okay, that's not helping!
Dan: Well Peter, aren't you a chow hound! I wouldn't wanna be stuck behind you in the mess hall!
Peter; (nervous) No, you wouldn't.
Quagmire's hatred towards Brian is brought up again when he beats him up at the end of the episode. The first time was in "Jerome is the New Black."
The King of Comedy
When Stewie is pretending to be on The View and Lois calls him for dinner, his shouted responses are taken directly from the 1983 movie The King of Comedy, in which Rupert Pupkin (Robert De Niro) is recording an audition tape in the basement and his mother keeps interrupting him.
