Chris is not enjoying his experience in the youth scouts and wants to quit, but he's afraid to tell Peter. So when Chris is kicked out of the scout troop he's relieved… that is, until Peter finds out and decides to take the whole matter to New York where he can talk to the scout masters head office directly.
Peter packs everyone but Brian and heads off to New York, but on the way there, he has a bathroom emergency and has to hastily stop at an Indian casino in order to use the bathroom. In that time, Lois goes on a video poker spree and manages to lose the family car to the casino. Meanwhile, Brian gets trapped watching a one day at a time marathon.
Peter stumbles on the idea to get out of their gambling debt- he claims to be an Indian, which entitles him to a share of the casinos profits. The tribe elders are sceptical of Peters claim and send him on a vision quest in the forest to prove his cultural roots. Chris accompanies Peter, seeing it as a chance to finally tell his dad how he feels about being in the youth scouts. In the woods, Peter has a vision of Fonzie which tells him to listen to his son. Chris confesses to Peter and the two of them emerge from then forest unharmed. Thanks to Peter's vision they are able to get the family's car back.
