This is the very first episode not to feature Brian since the character had been killed in the previous episode. As for this episode and the next, Vinny replaces him in the opening credits. However, there is still a picture of Brian in this episode.
With Brian 's absence, none of the main characters appeared in the whole show.
Stewie said he'd gone forward in time to a future Christmas. Would he not have realized after appearing at his home that Brian was no longer there? Even if he used his return pad immediately after visiting the store he would have still had to spend time at the house to avoid the rest of the family.
When Peter is drunk, he mentions Maggie, Bart, and Mr. Plow. These are characters from The Simpsons, Mr. Plow would be Homer.
Jerome from the episode "Jerome is the New Black" makes a return appearance.
The FOX ad for this episode featured the following dialogue:
Peter: You're not like over 40, are you?
Lois: What's wrong with women over 40?
Peter: Their bodies and personality.
This dialogue was not heard in the actual episode.
In the "black guy in Sweden" cutaway, they are talking German "blacken sie been" roughly translated to "he is black"
Meg was seen being sucked out in the vacuum by Stewie, but in the next scene, she is back in in the shuttle.
Peter: "It's the story of Christmas and the Immaculate Conception".
This is a common misunderstanding; what Peter means is the Virgin Birth. The Immaculate Conception refers to the dogma of Mary being free of the Original Sin when she was conceived by her mother Anne.
Lois is 43 years old.
Joe's backstory of facing the Grinch and falling off the roof of an orphanage changes to being caught with a wire while undercover and having his legs literally shot out from under him.
Even though the people were going backwards, they spoke forwards instead backwards.
Joe Swanson, himself, admitted that Kevin had died in Iraq in a previous season, But he is alive and well now.
The first episode with the cast being British and how their faces are made is the same design for the British family that was suppose to be in The Cleveland Show, but were written out because how the father and the son had impolite faces.
Continuity Error: When the first dead camper is initially found by Peter and Chris, the aerial shot shows the ambulance's lights are on, and as soon as it does a ground level shot immediately thereafter, the ambulance lights are off.
'Bayit' is the Hebrew word for 'house'. As such, the title could be a reference to the Talking Heads song "Burning Down the House".
James Woods returns after his believed death in the Season 9 premiere "And Then There were Fewer"
Stewie tells Brian that changing the past can alternate the future, but back in "The Road to Germany" Stewie tells Brian that they can do what they like in the past.
Future Brian tells the 1999 version of himself to write the Harry Potter novels. However, the first novel in the series was already published in 1997 and would have already existed in 1999. Therefore, Brian could not have written them.
Since the Stewie's time machine was blown up during the events of "Road to Germany", he must have built another identical time machine since that episode.
Quagmire claims that Cheryl Tiegs left him because he got jealous too easily. However in the episode, "And Then There Were Fewer," he claimed that she left him because James Woods stole her from him.
