In this episode Stewie said he was shopping for hats. However, he said that he's not a hat person in When You Wish Upon A Weinstein.
Jillian's last name is revealed as Russell.
Bill Cosby: Now you will get ready for the zim-zam and the babbidy-bibbidy. And you will take off your clothes like voo and voom. And get ready for the most splendifrous pudding pop you have ever seen.
Brian: If you're so smart, how come you don't tell anyone?
Lauren: Because Americans hate smart people. That's why they elected President Bush... twice!
Lois: Hey, Jillian. Congratulations on your nuptials.
Jillian: Oh, are they showing? Sorry, it's a really thin bra.
Previously known as An American Dog in Paris. The episode was originally written for Paris Hilton to guest star. But according to one Family Guy director, "She doesn't have a sense of humor about herself and refused to do it."
Walk Right In
Stewie's little song to Brian about "walking right in" to his punch line is based on the 1960's hit, Walk Right In by The Rooftop Singers.
The Karate Kid
The Way Derek heals the waiter's elbow, is similar to the way Mr. Miyagi heals injuries in film the Karate Kid.
My Fair Lady
The hat Stewie is wearing when they visit the set is the the same hat Audrey Hepburn wears in her role as Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady.
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
As Brian and Lauren are discussing music and books, she mentions that she doesn't let those things interfere with her bio-molecular research. When asked for an explanation, Lauren takes Brian down a hallway and into the Genesis Cave.
This scene, along with the dialogue, is a direct allusion to the second Star Trek movie. The Genesis Device (and the Genesis Effect) are central points to that movie's plot.
Bye Bye Birdie
This episode shares its name with a song from the musical Bye Bye Birdie.
