  • When his mother dies of cancer, a teenage boy tries to keep himself and his brothers together. A brilliant storyline...

Joe helps a 16-year-old get emancipated and gain custody of his younger brothers. It's a cleverly written and performed plot that really had me gripped. It seems simple enough to begin with, but when the Department of Children and Families object, the story takes a shocking turn, and becomes even more dramatic at the end. (Won't give it away for you though!)

The storyline is a great example of the cases on the show, giving examples of the complexity of the law and shows the often ugly side of human behaviour.

This episode is definitely one of my favourites, with a sweet small storyline involving Randi and Lynn. And a strange and shocking case about a boy trying to help out his neighbourhood.

    Most definitely one to watch!moreless
