  • Not great.

    6.5
I do not think I really liked this episode all too well. It was a bit boring and kind of slow. I knew for a fact that Steve was going to try to impress Laura while making himself look really stupid. I do have to say that this episode was fairly funny and did have some funny bits here and there. The writing was okay and the comedy was just average, but the entertainment value was dragging. Overall, this was not a good episode and it was hard to keep my attention on this episode. So in other words, not very good. Thank you.moreless

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • In other episodes they have Carl and Harriette's bedroom being above the living room. How can there be a leak from the roof into the living room, and how can Eddie fall through the roof and into the living room and not the bedroom?

    • When Harriette is talking about how Carl tried to build a bathroom for Mother Winslow, she says that Mother Winslow was blown into the basement when she used the bathroom that Carl fixed. But in the season 1 episode "Mr. Badwrench," Mother Winslow never even used the bathroom that Carl put together. After seeing the error of his ways, Carl had the bathroom professionally done before Mother Winslow returned from her vacation.

  • QUOTES (4)

    • Steve: You know what, Laura? I realize the reason you don't love me is because I'm weak.
      Laura: Steve, that's not true.
      Steve: It isn't?
Laura: No! There's lots of reasons why I don't love you.
Steve: Really? Well, name a couple!
Laura: Well… you're stubborn, irritating, loud, obnoxious, pushy, clumsy—
      Steve: I said 'a couple'.

    • Steve: You may have been the better man today, but you hear me… in a fortnight, not only will I make it up to the top of that rope, but I'll do it faster than you.
Alex: Why don't you put your money where your mouth is?
Waldo: Don't do it, Urkel! Money has germs on it!

    • Waldo: Thanks for helping me find the gym.
Steve: Don't feel bad. It's Monday! You had two whole days to forget where it was.

    • (looking through a vacation pamphlet)
      Eddie: Look at those beaches.
      Laura: Look at those sunsets.
      Rachel: Look at those men.
      Carl: Look at that buffet.

  • NOTES (2)

    • The German episode title is "Hirn und Muskeln", meaning "Brain and Brawn".

    • The end of this episode crossed over to "The Dance" episode of Step By Step. Steve Urkel, while wearing his own invention of the suspense-gravity motor on his back, airlifted himself from the Winslows' living room floor, going up, crashing through the roof that Carl had fixed in this episode. Then Steve flew over downtown Chicago and landed in Port Washington, Wisc., on the Foster/Lambert picnic table while they are having a barbecue.
