Carl's bah-humbug attitude toward Urkel's rooftop Christmas decorations changes once he learns that winning a decorating contest could bring the Winslows a sackful of holiday cheer. Meanwhile, Harriette is saddened because Laura and Eddie seem to be too busy to participate in family Christmas activities. I thought that this was another perfect Christmas episode of "Family Matters". It was absolutely hilarious but it was also heartwarming. The Carl/Steve plot with the two of them decorating the roof for Christmas made me laugh so hard though and it was very funny how Carl just did it for the money. I felt bad for Harriette though because Laura and Eddie don't want to do Christmas decorations with her anymore since they are too busy doing other things. But both of the storylines were handled very well and it had tons of humor. The sleigh breaking the roof with Carl and Steve falling down the house was hilarious as well and it was also good that Carl apologizes to Steve for lying to him. Overall, another perfect and hilarious Christmas episode of "Family Matters"... totally worth watching. 10/10moreless

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • When Steve is walking on the roof in the opening shot, you can tell that the snow is just sheets of cotton when he walks over it. The 'real' snow is obviously fake here, unless it's part of Steve's display.

  • QUOTES (2)

    • Steve: Wuh-oh.
      Carl: What's the matter?
Steve: Well, uh, I think I've got a faulty elf.
Carl: And something's wrong with Santa. Can you fix it?
Steve: Well, I might not have to. Sometimes, these things have a way of working themselves out.
(The heads pop off of the Santa and elf. Steve catches a head.)
Steve: And sometimes they get worse!

    • Steve: At least plug me in so we can see if my lights work.
(Carl rummages through the box trying to find the plug to the lights, which are tangled around Steve)
      Steve: Carl?
      Carl: Don't bother me!
Steve: Carl! Looking for this? (holds up the plug. Carl plugs the lights in)
      Steve: Oh! Pretty!
(the lights flicker off, and everything goes dark. Eventually the whole city of Chicago goes dark, and then we see a shot of the Earth, which goes completely dark)
Steve: (voice-only) Look what you did!
