This was a great episode. Of course, it had its dose of some great humor, but the last half of the episode was so dramatic, so serious, it was very sad. This could be my new favorite episode, or very well one of them. The last half was very inspirational and sad. It really taught a good lesson that if you think something is unfair, or you want something big, then you need to try and make a difference. I thought this was so good, the closest I had come to crying in TV for a long while. 10/10, a perfect episodemoreless
  • Drama.

    "Great"
When watching this episode, I felt like this was more drama than comedy. It also was an episode where it was about touchy subjects like racism. I have to say that it was a well written episode that had my attention. Laura gets a threatening letter from the locker with a bad word painted on. I was very much surprised about how sharp the drama was. Laura continued to fight on and taught everyone about African-Americans. Overall, this was a decent episode that had good rama and was well written. I was very entertained and interested when I watched this episode. Thank you.moreless

    "Superb"
This episode was really good and really well written. It shows the importance of coming together. Not judging others on the color of there skin. It also shows the importance of fighting for what you believe in. Grandma Winslow's story of how she kept trying to get into the library was a true inspiration even if someone isn't black, it shows you need courage and persistence to achieve what you want and if you try hard enough you'll be able to make those goals and dreams happen. This episode was not only educational and well written it was also a very inspirational episode.moreless

    • Harriette: I had to face this when I was growing up; I hoped it'd be different for my daughter. Carl: Harriette, those people that did it to us are teaching the same rubbish to their own kids.

    • Carl: What are they teaching at that school, their own version of the three R's: reading, writing and racism?

    • Laura: I couldn't have done this without you. Steve: Oh, please, Laura. You're making me blush. Laura: You know, I just don't get why people are so afraid of our history. Steve: Well, because it's different. And believe you me, I know what being different is all about. Laura: Well, I admire you for that. Steve: Oh, pasha, you making me blush again.
