Pies in the face are what made this episode one of the #1\'s! A lot of these Family Matters episodes are about a lot of love, and this one, romantic comedy, but more comedy! Max did a good job starting the pie in the face! That kept going on, then Steve was the last victim! Then they attack each other! LOL!

    • When Max asks Laura how long they've been friends, Laura says "since third grade." Max replies, "That's right, ever since we came to school with our Punky Brewster lunch boxes," an in-joke about Cherie Johnson starring on Punky Brewster when she was younger.

    • When Max asks Laura how long they've been friends, Laura says "since third grade." But Max has only been best friends with Laura since the 2nd season. In the first season Laura's best friend was a girl named Penny.

    • Estelle: Carl, do you remember how much fun you had staying with your grandparents when your father and I went out? Carl: Yeah. Estelle: And do you know why? They spoiled you. Carl: Now see? Didn't that make you mad? Estelle: No, why should it? Look how great you turned out. You see, Carl, parents have to say no, but grandparents get to say yes.

    • Estelle: Now look, Carl, when I babysit, what I say goes, and we're going to have fun, so back off.

    • Carl: Mother, I know you enjoy babysitting Richie and 3J, but you shouldn't let them wrap you around their fingers like that. Estelle: What're you talking about? Carl: You let them stay up way past their bedtime, you let them watch scary movies, and apparently you let them eat their weight in junk food. Estelle: They had a good balanced dinner. Carl: What? Estelle: Well, we made some peanut butter sandwiches, then we dipped them in melted Snickers. Harriette: Ooh, that does sound good.

    • Steve: No more Nice Urkel!
