  • Not bad.

I thought this was an episode in which it was more about sentimental value than comedy and entertainment value. Carl wanted to build a shower for Mother Winslow, so he took on the task himself, thinking it would be cheaper and easier. I like the fact that it was a nice gesture, but it was basically a boring storyline that was very slow. I actually liked when Carl couldn't do it but the finish was nice. Mother Winslow was happy having a new shower. Overall, this episode was decent in terms of acting and comedy. I wish it would have better. Thank you.moreless

  • NOTES (5)

    • The original cold open to this episode featured the scene in the season one opening credits where Eddie, Laura and Judy were playing pictionary. After the original airing of this episode the producers replaced it with a new cold open to feature Harriette telling Laura to take out the trash and Steve Urkel insists on doing it for her, to make it look as if Urkel was on from the beginning. The first season DVD set uses the original version.

    • The German episode title is "Sag 'Mama'!", meaning "Say 'Mama'!".

    • The scene in the season 1 opening credits where Eddie, Laura and Judy were playing pictionary, Carl puts out a fire in the toaster, and the scene when Carl and Eddie break the window with the shower rod are both from this episode.

    • The set used for the bathroom was also used in an episode of Full House.

    • Music: "Stormy Weather" performed by Rosetta LeNoire
