  • A classic.

This was by far one of the best episodes of the entire series. I can't believe how well everything played out. The acting was great, the plot was wonderful, and the comedy was right where it needed to be. I have to say that I am very surprised that it was that good. My favorite parts of the episode had to be the flashbacks of when Steve and Laura were much younger. That scene where Steve leaves hurt was really sad, but great acting from him and Laura. This episode was just great and it was also something of a good ending to a relationship that had been brewing for several years. Thank you.moreless
  • Most touching episode of the series!

    9.0
Yes, this was the most touching episode of the series. I can honestly say I never thought Steve and Laura would get together. A lot of shows have that character who is pining for the other character for an entire series and then ends up with the character. Well, I didn't think Steve and Laura were those two characters. I just thought Steve was the annoying nerd who would never get his girl and then at the end of the series, understand that was the way it was to be.

But, then this season came along. Laura gained feelings for Steve, which I suspect where there all along. It's how she could be friends with him and let him tag along, even though he annoyed her to no end. It's how she could always forgive him when he messsed things up.

You know Laura is going to say yes to Steve, but it's still very touching when she does it. It brought tears to my eyes. It's the way Steve proposed to her, wearing the same clothes and holding the same ring that he had when they were married for the class project many years/seasons ago. It's the way Laura says yes, telling Steve that she could never see her life without Steve. Stefan may be a top model, a very cute rich guy, but Steve is the close friend, The ONE.moreless
  • Never saw that one coming. Wow.

    9.3
Steve went from being a walk-on character to marrying Laura. That's really something. The "test tubes and cheese" line really made me laugh. It's just one of those contexts in which cheese is funny.

Myrtle's gone, Stephan's gone, and now Jaleel is all Steve. Steve's voice has gotten more and more high-pitched since the beginning. Why?

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • In this episode, Carl's friend refers to Steve as the kid who blew up the science lab. Carl confirms this, however in the episode "Presumed Urkel", it was found that Steve was framed for the explosion.

    • In this episode, Steve proposes to Laura in the clothes that he was wearing in the "Marriage 101" episode from season 2 (the one where they were paired together in a class project). He states that he has held onto the ring that he bought her during the project until this day. He originally bought the ring as a gift for her from the "stay away" money his relatives give to him NOT to visit them. Actually, in Marriage 101, Laura says the ring is too much so he sells the ring (and a cd) to Carl to give to Harriette, therefore, he can't possibly give the ring to Laura unless he bought it back from Carl (and we know how Harriette is about rings since she pitched a fit a few episodes before this one because Carl gave her a wedding ring that he had bought for someone else).

  • QUOTES (3)

    • Laura: Steve, how could you leave? You told me you loved me
Steve: I do love you. I adore you. I worship the rain that waters the grass that grows on the ground you walk on. All I've ever wanted to do was make you happy. Now, the only way I believe I can do that is if I step aside (walks towards door with suitcases) Goodbye, Laura. I do have one favor to ask of you--one small favor. Remember me
Laura Steve wait, you can't just leave!
      Steve: Why not?
Laura: 'Cause . . . because I can't imagine my life without you
Steve: What are you trying to say?
Laura: I'm saying that, I love you and... I wanna marry you
Steve: (walks towards her You do?
      Laura: Yes (they hug)

    • Steve: Oh, Laura, I feel so foolish. The other night when I propose to you, it was very kind of you not to laugh in my face.
Laura: Steve, why would I do that?
Steve: Oh, come on! There's no comparison between Stefan and me. It's like getting a proposal from Brad Pitt, and then five minutes later, getting another from Mr. Bean!

    • Laura: I can't decide between Stefan and Steve.
      Carl: You're kidding, right?
Laura: No, it's actually a much harder decision than I thought it would be.
      Carl: You're kidding, right?
