When the adults go away, leaving Eddie in charge for the weekend, he quickly violates their "no guests" rule. Meanwhile, Carl driving the ladies gets lost on the highway and his car breaks down by the battery dying in the freezing weather.

I think this episode is funny because eddie disregards carls orders of no friends over while they\'re gone for the night.And the football game in the kitchen with one of harriettes glass bowls.And i thought it was funny at the end carl goes to sit down on the couch and steve pops out from underneath the couch cushions after having a run in with a jock.

- Starting with this episode the theme song "As Days Go By" slightly changes. The background music is less jazzy and softer than before. Also the end theme song also changes. It has a lot less accompanying instruments and the very end is slightly tweaked. "The Candidate" is the only episode to use the original opening/ending theme after this episode, due to being shot before this episode.
