Carl, Harriette, Rachel and Estelle go away to visit relatives. Before leaving, Carl advises Eddie of the "no guests" rule.
Of course, Eddie balks at this directive. After burning supper, Laura and Judy want to order pizza. Rodney comes to the rescue bringing pizzas. He suggests inviting a few friends over to spend a little time ...
... and you can imagine what happens next. Friends invite friends, and so on, and quickly, guests are coming and going and spilling all over the place.
Urkel invites himself over and makes his usual irksome presence of himself. Members of rival high schools use Harriette's good china – and later, Urkel – to settle a football score.
Meanwhile, Carl manages to get lost and while stopped to look for directions, the car's battery goes dead. A freezing Harriette admonishes Carl for failing to stop for directions.
Eddie may have wished the adults had been stranded all night. They manage to get the car started and turn around and come back ... to find the house full of uninvited teen-agers. Carl threatens to arrest everyone unless they leave right now.
After everyone leaves, Harriette makes a big deal about her broken gravy bowl, but Carl is much more upset over Eddie's failure to respect his wishes. Even more upsetting – he finds Urkel, cozily stuffed away beneath the couch cushions.
