    • TRIVIA (1)

      • During the scene where Elyse is is playing her guitar she has a capo on her guitar then the capo is off. (This was used in a promo for Family Ties for Nick @ Nite.)

    • QUOTES (3)

      • Bud: Haven't seen you folks in a while.
Steven: Well, I've been doing a lot of the plumbing repairs myself lately.
Bud: Great! Maybe I'll get that new van I've been looking for!

      • Steven: (practicing his script for the television pledge drive) "Hi, I'm Steven Keaton, manager of WKS. I know when you met the other people who work here, you also met their families. But my children don't care enough about their father to be here."
        Elyse: Steven!
Steven: Too rough? Okay, I've got an alternative. "Hi, I'm Steven Keaton, manager of WKS. You've already met my wife, Elyse. I guess you can tell we have no children."

      • Elyse: (discovering that Steven suddenly has to leave) But he was going to lend me moral support!
Alex: We'll give you that, Mom!
Mallory: Yeah, we'll cheer you on.
Jennifer: We'll clap really loud, no matter how bad you sing.

    • NOTES (1)

      • Elise sings "Believe Me If All Those Endearing Young Charms". This song is the same gag used on Warner Brothers cartoons to trigger an explosion on a piano/xylophone, where the patsy gets exploded. It can be found on these cartoons; "Ballot Box Bunny" (Bugs Bunny/Yosemite Sam) 1951, "Show Biz Bugs" (Bugs Bunny/Daffy Duck) 1958 & "Rushin Roulette" (Road Runner/Wile E. Coyote) 1965.
