Fangface & Fangpuss

Show Summary

Fangface!! Every 400 years, a baby werewolf is born into the Fangsworth family, and so when the moon shined on little Sherman Fangsworth, he changed into.. Fangface the werewolf! Only the sun can change him back to normal. And so little Fangs grew up and teamed up with three daring teenagers: Kim, Biff and Puggsy, and together they find danger, excitement, and adventure! Who can save the day? Who can wrong the rights and right the wrongs? None other than Fangface!" Fangface & Fangpuss was the second season of the series, and it aired as part of The Plastic Man Comedy Adventure Show. Adding its own baby character to coincide with Plastic Man's Baby Plas, season two provided little more than a cosmetic change in the form of Baby Fangs/Fangpuss (whose character premiered at about the same time as Scrappy-Doo). The stories were the same style as the first season, but the episodes were shortened to no more than 15 minutes, leaving half the time of the first season for evil to be thwarted and comedic timing to be delivered. Characters: Sherman Fangsworth is a cowardly young man, but when shown a picture of the moon, he transforms into the brave and often misdirected Fangface, creating slapstick hijinks while thwarting the plans of those who seek profit and world domination through greed and evil. Biff is the leader of the gang, a young man who looks and acts little different from Josie and the Pussycats' Alan (also voiced by Jerry Dexter) and Scooby-Doo's Fred. He often comes up with the intelligent plans the gang uses to get out of whatever jam they get themselves into, and those plans pretty much always involve changing Sherman into Fangface. He also seems to be the only member of the group who knows how to drive... then again, you never really saw anyone other than Fred driving the Mystery Machine, did you? Kim is the solitary female member of the group. Witty and beautiful, this young lady comes up with many a plan herself, and she carries with her the photographs of the sun and the moon which are used to transform Sherman into Fangface and back. Puggsy, Sherman's best friend, is the group' wise guy. Short, stout, and with a fuhgedaboudit demeanor, Puggsy has the most negative attitude of the gang, but that comes mostly from his bad luck and constant run-ins with Fangface, who upon transforming always wants to maul or eat Puggsy before remembering the task at hand. Baby Fangs, who was introduced from out of nowhere in season 2, is Sherman's infant cousin who, despite the tellings of the introductory legend, is afflicted with the same family curse as Sherman. A curious and innocent child, Baby Fangs often draws his cousin and friends into trouble, but after transforming into Fangpuss, he often helps Fangface get them out of it (and has the same fondness for nibbling on Puggsy).moreless
