Funny how quickly the Farscape crew COULDN\'T be apart. Your left in a cliffhanger at the end of season 3 as everyone goes their seperate ways and all of a sudden in season 4, half the crew is back and they are intorduced to a new playmate. Sikuzo is a great character so in this sense, this is a good episode. Her constant schemeing and seeming side switching throughout future episodes makes her introduction a good one as she\'s quickly walking the wire between good and evil. Beyond that, you really got nothing. The tenseness at the end of season 3 is gone and this is another stand alone episode that really doesn\'t advance any of the larger themes of the series along to any significance.
I must say I thought the first episode of this new season would be a bit better than this!
Crichton with a beard? Oh please...
A new character is introduced. She is a bit strange, just like everyone of the gang, and will fit in perfectly!
Chiana can see the future! Well, not exactly, but she can slow down the present, which makes a blind by the way! I wonder if she will stay that way?
But wait, where were Rygel and Chiana? I thought they had left or were aboard Moia! And they all seem so desperate, so worn out! How come they changed so drastically from one season to another?
There are no indications about D'Argo, Stark or Aeryn yet.
Wow this really was quite a good episode, maybe not fantastic but it was pretty good considering that D'Argo, Aeryn, Pilot and Jool never appeared in it. So this episode takes place some time on from the season 3 final, where John was left in the middle of nowhere. In this episode Crichton reveals that luckily a dying Livathan came along and Crichton boarded it. So Crichton has pretty much figured out wormholes in the time he has been aboard the ship.
Anyway we are also intoduced to a new alien and finally Chiana and Rygel come back, they rid the ship of bad guys but they are still no closer at finding the rest for mpya's crew. Overall i think this was a great episode. It certainly let lots of ideas for season 4. This season is promising to be a good one lets hope it stays like this.
Last time everyone departed moya for other places.but hold on 5 minutes and the gangs all back together .None of them having gone where they said they were going to.And not really bothering to explain. Its a news season ,and they signed a contract so its all aboard for a new exicting series of episodes. The words non sequitur were invented for this.
Its not like its the first time thyve pulled this trick. The season two opener had a similar cop out .I actually like the show but they do it to me everytime and everytime i fall for it.It seems like they are desperately trying to maintain interest in the show to stave off cancellation and then dont have the first clue how to resolve the plot threads theyve set up.But they could have at least tried
Crichton has been living in a dying Leviathan when suddenly a pod arrives. A young woman reveals she is running away from the people who hired her to find Leviathans.
Ben Browder shows his funny side. This is how I would rate this episode. I guess he must have had a great time making it.
Again he's making references to Star Trek. All is done in a great unforced way. This is what I like about Farscape, it's all in the interaction of the characters.
Even when he tries to attracked the attention of the monster, he keeps being witty and funny.
It's a completely other side of Crichton we see than the one in the previous episode.
