I heard recently on the news that Father Ted was gonna be remade in America.
I dunno if it's true or not, and I really dunno what I think of it.
How would everyone else feel if it were to be reamde?

Hell *NO*! Remakes are almost always crap, and I think it would lose much of it's appeal in the transition. No way in hell would many of the jokes get past the prudish censors here - esp. many of the lines by Father Jack. Things like no 'feck, arse, girls, drink' or anything of the kind...Unless maybe it ends up on HBO, Showtime and the like...Maybe Comedy Central...
On the other hand, if my quick google search is correct, it's got some good things going in it's favor... Hat Trick (the original production company) is involved...And Spike Feresten is in on it. His late night show on Fox has it's funny bits... And he used to be a writer for Seinfeld. I was never much into the show to put it mildly - but he was responsible for the infamous "Soup Nazi episode.
[edit] And with all that said, all this is possibly just a moot point... The info re: a remake seems to be a few years old (circa 03/04)...So in all likelyhood the idea's been dropped.
