  • Mel Gibson must have seen this episode of Father Ted before making The Passion of Christ

“The Passion of Saint Tibulus” is a great episode of Father Ted. This is the first episode with Bishop Brennan in it. The bishop comes to craggy island and asks Father Ted and Dougal to protest over the showing of a blasphemous film, “The Passion of Saint Tibulus.”(Mel Gibson must have seen this episode of Father Ted before making The Passion of Christ.) Anyhow, Ted and Dougal end up protesting leading to the film becoming more popular on the Island. This is an hilarious episode, many laughs come from talk of the film, and the Cuban Father at the start of the episode. Top Stuff.
