I think they did a good job of setting the tone and the villain was interesting as was his demise. Other than a police station being cut off and no one knowing and 3 cops being left on duty all night the story was solid. Not everyday you get a Cajun cannibal points for originality.

As with my review, I really wish they would have developed the Cajun killer some more he had a lot of potential to be something fabulous.

Not bad, the acting wasn't great, the plotline copied, and the story a tad absurd, but it was pretty decent.

6.8/10, best episode so far, although again, that means nothing

with 44-48 min to develop each character i think they did a good job and they did throw in a nice loop with the 3rd body

I liked this episode. This one and Family man has been the best episodes so far. Frankly speaking the 4 th was rather mediocre. The Cajun character was OK, but he could have been more exposed.

I really enjoyed this episode. Ever since I heard about this episode I was excited to see it. It lived up to my expectations. In my opinion this is the second best episode, next to "The Sacrifice". I can't wait for the next one.

It is a good summer show. Some endings could be better but, hey not all shows can be excellent.

I didn't understand the importance of a Cajun killer except that since he was an eater that the Cajuns have delicious cuisine. I really wish they would have expounded on the female officer's armfuls of tatoos. That could have been a spooky element. I liked the episode and its claustrophobic feel but the officers were too stereotyped and the female officer too naive. Could have been better.

I liked it. Episodes like this one (and "Family Man") keep me watching it, hoping it will improve. It does show potential and show is on (slight) upward swing. Hope next episodes will be like this one.

His purpose was to be different and to justify the voodoo powers he had.

Well it was an improvement from the 4th episode, but it still was worse than the other 3. Everything was too obvious. And the ending was the worse out of the 5 episodes, it was just dumb...

To me it still goes Spooked > Sacrifice > Family Man > Eater > The wedding one

Spooked was the best to me because it was the only one with an interesting story and developed characters.

gotta say, even though i was looking forward to it (stuart gordon made my favourite two eps in the masters of horror series) this ep was a huge letdown. direction was ok (still, gordon is so much better off when using a good source material, like lovecraft or poe), but the acting was mediocre at best, and the storyline with all the twists were kinda telegraphed from the get-go. a weak knock-off of angel heart (and there only one heart eaten was enough to hold the whole movie in suspense), the cajun motif was a bit of a gimmick, the whole affair was much more disgusting than horrific... all in all, so far, fear itself hasn't really proven itself to me. looking forward to the next ep, tho, aintitcool's drew mcweeney (pseudonym 'moriarty' at aintitcool) wrote it. it could go either way: MoH S1 john carpenter's ep, cigarette burns was brilliant, a perfect moody piece, S2's pro-life was a horrible abortion of a script (pun intended). i hope it's gonna be more like cigarette burns.

This episode creeped out my little sister, so it was good in that sense. I liked the name and the "powers".
