Federal Men is a television show in which a group of Treasury department agents go after counterfeiters, smugglers, killers and anyone involved in white-collar crime which falls under their jurisdiction. The units leader, The Chief (Walter Greaza) is a hard-nose agent who spends his time directing people against criminals who will do anything to stay out of prison, including destroying evidence, bribing officials and extortion. The Chief is the only constant character in the shows, all agents are interchangeable, showing the power of The Chief and how many people he commands. The beauty of the show is that it is based on real-life treasury cases and information, making the stories all the more believable. Also a great cast of characters and cameo appearances from soon-to-be stars, such as Charles Bronson as a heroin dealer, gives the show more appeal. The show is also known as Treasury Men In Action and ran for 5 seasons in the 1950's.
